Story
Hi this is bear. A 2 year 2 month old purebred German shepherd. He is energetic, protective, smart, loyal and all the good things that common with GSD. He is about 80 pounds right now. We have had a lot going on lately with a baby and medical bills that we haven’t been able to provide the necessary care for such an energetic animal. The house has gotten a lot smaller with baby gates and playpens around and the fence in our yard is damaged by trees where bear can get out and take strolls on his own if he chooses. Unfortunately money is really tight right now and we can’t afford to fix the fence and most of our time has been devoted to work and the baby it isn’t fair for bear. He is crate trained and spent 2 weeks being professionally trained at a 2 week board and train. His skills are there, they would just need to be brushed up on. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to keep up with his needs. He’s a great young pup that is full of energy.

Story
Meet Roxy, a lovable 8-9 year old German Shepherd mix looking for her forever home. Roxy is a calm, low-energy companion who enjoys leisurely walks and quality time with her family. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, making her a perfect cuddle buddy. Roxy is well-behaved on a leash, loves squeaky toys, and is a pro at catching tennis balls. She enjoys playing fetch, is housebroken, and crate trained.Roxy gets along well with her foster family's small dog, but she should meet any potential dog friends to ensure a good fit. Up to date on all her vaccines, Roxy is ready to bring joy and love to her new family. Adopt Roxy today and experience the warmth of her gentle spirit! Here is a bit more about what her foster momma has to say about Roxy:"Roxy is looking for her furever home. She is a lovebug! She is super sweet and bonds very quickly. She gets along with my dog. We took her to the park this weekend, where she greeted every passerby with a tail wag (hoping for some pets). One lady did stop and Roxy enjoyed all the attention. She didn't seem to be bothered by the dogs we passed, either. No leash reactivity from this girl. She walks amazing on leash! Here are some pictures from the last few days! Please message me or contact the shelter if you are interested in meeting this sweet gal."This is what I can tell you about sweet Roxy:**house trained**crate trained**lover of her people**walks amazing on leash**no food aggression**loves to carry around a tennis ball**VERY easy going*****Roxy is in a foster home at this time. If you are interested in meeting with her, please reach out at PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV.

Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall.   We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them.  He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company.  He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time.  This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner.  He would love to cuddle with you and be your adored companion.  He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this big baby!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
This girl is called Gemma and she is a 5 year old German Shepherd girl that is looking for a Shepherd savvy owner.  This girl is 65 pounds and has come through much in her life and surfaced as a great survivor and ready to embrace a good life.  Her foster mom and dad taught her how to trust, how to love and how to be a wonderful and endearing Shepherd that just wants love.   Gemma needs a fenced yard, a patient and dog savvy Shepherd person that understands her brain psyche and that she is a jewel ready to be continually polished to a shining bright star.  Gemma will be a great dog to love and go on walks and adventures.  She is good with other dogs and also has been around young children.
