Meet Diesel, a shy and nervous soul who was surrendered because he didn’t get along with the other dog in the home. This sweet boy is learning to trust and is a little hesitant around new people. All Diesel wants is a loving home where he can feel safe and secure again, surrounded by patience and understanding. He deserves a chance to blossom into the loving companion he’s meant to be.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Energetic and wanting to please: Apollo!  He is more than ready to find a home. He plays hard with other dogs, so just needs some guidance when it comes to hanging out with multiple other dogs during playtime. He does great with the foster dogs around him at his foster home, and enjoys playing with one of the female canine companions who is about the same age, Serena.  Apollo can scale a 6 foot fence if he is confined to a small dog lot, but does well in a yard where a taller fence shows him his boundaries.  He is housetrained, and cratetrained! He loves playing with toys, and can run for hours. He does have prey-drive around smaller animals—not unusual with energetic shepherds—and we don’t recommend a home with cats or poultry. He is non-reactive to livestock and was fine with the horse that was housed in the pasture next to him recently. if you’re looking for a dog with energy, and a happy attentive attitude with intelligence and ability, look no further: Apollo needs you! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 25, 2025, 7:51 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We have not met Dex, but his family wants to find him a different home, and asked us to help. Here is what they say: His name is Dax. He is full of energy and loves to run. He does currently live with 3 other dogs but has major aggression towards any new animals. It is hard to take him in public and to the park due to his aggression. He is mainly German shepherd and rottweiler but has some Doberman and wolfdog mixed in. He has attacked stray cats and dogs that have come into our yard but has never shown aggression to any people. He is very energetic but is very easy with kids of all ages and elderly people." If you are seeking a dog to be your best friend, and are willing to keep him safe while he learns boundaries, perhaps this handsome boy would be a good match. Do note that he has high prey drive, and wants to protect you from whatever enters the yard. A neuter would help him immensely as well. Apply and we will send to his family for consideration.    PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
