Story
Milo is a 3 year old German shorthair pointer mix. He loves to be outdoors and run, if you like to hike he is your buddy! If you like cuddles he would love nothing more than a mid day nap! Milo is a very treat motivated boy! While he can be excited Milo is very smart and loves to learn! He learned how to sit at just 4 months old! Milo loves to play with other dogs and cats but is also just as happy with his human companions. While Milo is an amazing dog he is big and definitely needs his space to run and play because he can go all day if you let him! If you love big dogs and are ready for a new buddy to go on your journey Milo would love to join you!

https://foha.org/pet/earl/ Hi, I’m Earl! I’m a sweet, gentle hound who’s all about love (and treats — can’t forget the treats!). I know how to sit and give paw, and I’m always ready to show off my skills if there’s a snack involved. I’m a pretty easygoing guy on leash, though sometimes my hound nose takes over and I have to check out all the smells — a harness definitely helps with that. I’m soft, affectionate, and love leaning in for butt scratches and snuggles. I’ll even meet you at the door with a wagging tail, ready for our next adventure. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart as big as his nose, I’m your guy!

Story
Nala is an absolute snuggle muffin that wants nothing more than to give love. She's a big girl that thinks she is a lap dog! Nala is 3 years old and just went to the vet to get all her shots and is in perfect health. She is housetrained, knows many commands and is as beautiful as it gets. Unfortunately she and our corgi are both somewhat territorial and can't seem to get along all the time. We love this girl and want her to go to a home where she can get all the love she deserves.

These pups are in Washington, District of Columbia too!

Story
My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old.  My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult.  I LUV KIDS!   My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on.  I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too.  I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too.  I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes.  I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs.   We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime.  He is alert and very smart.   He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life.  He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training.  This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children.  He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good.  We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie.   He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.   If you are interested in knowing more about Robbie please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and we travel to the Northeastern region as well with our pre-adopted dogs.   Thank you for considering this precious boy   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Name:   Lucy        Best Guess for Breed:  Pointer and basset hound mix  Best Guess for Age:   3 years as of February 2025       Gender:  Female Approximate Weight:   44 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs!We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here after completing heartworm treatment  Special Adoption Considerations: Lucy is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Lucy is Looking For: Her forever home!
