My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old. My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult. I LUV KIDS! My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on. I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too. I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too. I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes. I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs. We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime. He is alert and very smart. He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life. He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training. This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children. He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good. We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie. He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think. Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here after completing heartworm treatment Special Adoption Considerations: Lucy is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs. All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care. After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.
