Story
As circumstances in his family’s life had changed, Brother finds himself looking for a new home. At 6.5 years old this sweet guy is a delight. He knows how to sit, stay, lay down, leave it, touch and what potty means. True to his breed he is friendly, loyal, and affectionate with an energetic yet gentle disposition. He is very intelligent, easy to train and seems to enjoy learning new things. He enjoys his dog bed and is also crate trained. However, Brother loves and prefers to hang out on the couch/lazy boy recliner on your lap or next to you then in his crate. If you have a blanket for him to struggle up under, he is especially happy. He also enjoys your bed. He wants to be with you and will follow you about the home. He loves to go for car rides and is a great hiking buddy. Due to his breed he loves to chase cats, but he doesn't hurt them, and he will walk away if a cat challenges him. He needs a lot of walks and exercise; a fully fenced yard is a necessity. He loves to run and play chase. He plays well with other dogs however he is medium size at about 45 lbs and will need to be watched if he is playing with bigger stronger dogs that could hurt him. He is food motivated, likes strong chew toys but will tear apart soft dog toys. Because he is a bird dog, he isn't great with chickens or any small animals, as he wants to hunt, who can blame him this is what German Shorthaired Pointers were bred to do. He doesn't jump up or lick and best of all he loves kids. This guy will make a great addition to the family that understands the energy level of German Short Hair Pointers and who are willing to accept him for who he is.If you are interested in meeting him, please don't hesitate to email adoption@columbiahumane.org to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file, we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet him. His adoption fee is $250.00, that includes him being current on all his vaccines, microchipped, treated for fleas and treated for worms. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 7, 2025, 6:00 am

And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of your family!!!! You see, I is an extremely affectionate, playful, and adventurous pup that at around 10 months and weighs about 50 lbs. I do well with people both the tall and small versions and other pups too! I would do wonderful being a 'sibling' to either the 2 or 4 legged variety or hogging all the attention as your one and only!! I'm an active gal that would love to be included in ALL your adventures. We could go on neighborhood strolls, go on hikes, take camping trips...you think it and I'm right there to give it a try - so if you're an outdoorsy type, I could definitely be the pup for you! I walk really well on the leash and love playing with my toys and running around the yard. But when the day is done, I is a total cuddle bug and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with my people. My name is Ally and I'm here looking for a home, a family, one to call my very own. And since you're reading this, could it possibly be that it could be with YOU?!! I am around 3 years and am very loving, affectionate and ready for playtime. I love to be on the go exploring this big ole world and would do best with an active family that would want to include me in their activities and adventures, anything from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting. I love going for car rides and also meeting people, there's no strangers out there for me. So FYI, I'm just gonna come right out and tell you...our walks may take a tad bit longer as I love to greet everyone!! I come in at about 55ish lbs. A pawsomely perfect medium size for those long walks, nature hikes and of course those belly rubs I absolutely adore getting. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! Oh and guess what?! I'm already house trained! We can get right to the fun stuff...right away!! I'm good with people both tall and small and other doggies! I would make a great playmate to either a 2 or 4 legged 'sibling' or a terrific sidekick as your one and only! But I do have to tell you that every once in a while I get a little excited and may accidently topple a wee little one. I am so looking forward to being your FBF (furry best friend), your constant in this world, your heart beat at your feet!! If I sound like a perfect match for your home and lifestyle please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Heineken     •    Neutered     •    Up to date on Vaccines     •    8 yrs old/ Male     •    GSP Mix     •    Sunriver, Oregon With great sadness I need to find my buddy a new home. We recently had a baby and it isn’t working with him and the baby as he has shown aggression towards him. With that being said he is a really good dog. Low maintenance in the house, crate trained, never gets into anything, and loves to lay around when he’s received proper activity, and does great in the car.  He is very intelligent and loves to learn new things. Outside he loves to run, play with toys, and bake in the sun. He is used to running on leash 10+ miles a week, but is satisfied with walks and hikes. Ideally he has a fenced yard to wander in, but with proper activity would do fine without . He does well on his leash during walks, but has an incredible prey drive so he should never be left off leash. Does okay with a lot of dogs, specifically females, but can be aggressive so no dog parks and would ideally be the only dog at home and older kids only. He has been muzzled around the baby for the last few months and does well with it. He is trained in basic commands and very food motivated. The perfect family would be one with no kids or older in age 10+ and no dogs that lives an active lifestyle that he can join in on. He has spent time around pre teen and teen kids and loves them. He is okay being home by himself during the day while you’re at work. If you are local to Bend, I would be happy to help take care of him in certain situations. Can provide his crate, toys, beds, leash, and any left over food. Has active pet insurance until May 25. Happy to meet you anywhere. I just want my buddy to find a loving home.
