Story
Looking for a loving home for our German Shorthaired Pointer. He is a friendly, very, very loving, dog with no issues, but we are unable to provide the space and time he needs to thrive. We live in a small town with a little yard. He would do best in a home with a larger yard or farm where he can run and play. He is energetic and would be perfect for someone who enjoys outdoor activities or has the space to support his active nature. When we got Geo we were more able to manage his exercise needs but now we cannot. We have bought a place that is not conducive to his necessary lifestyle.

Story
Gem is a four-year-old German Shorthair Pointer (GSP) with a zest for life and a loving nature. Like most GSPs, she’s full of energy and thrives in a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle. Whether it’s hiking, running, or exploring the great outdoors, Gem is ready to be your adventure buddy. After a day of activity, she loves nothing more than to settle down for some quality snuggle time with her favorite people. Her favorite thing, beyond anything else, is to be right by her person's side. Gem is well-mannered and has a solid foundation of basic training. She’s potty trained, walks well on a leash, and has reliable recall skills, making her a joy to take on outings. However, her hunting breed instincts are strong, and she has a high prey drive, so she requires a secure, tall, physically fenced yard (no electric fences or tie outs) to safely burn off her energy. Gem’s ideal home is a single-family home with plenty of space and a secure yard, as she needs room to run and play. She is not a good fit for renters or homes with restrictions on outdoor space. Due to her desire to chase, Gem is also not suitable for a home with cats or small animals. She lives in a foster home with six other dogs and gets along well with them, so she would love another canine companion, but would also do well as an only dog! While Gem is friendly and affectionate, she can get nervous in certain situations. For this reason, she would do best in a home with children aged 15 or older who can understand and respect her boundaries. She’s crate-trained and feels comfortable being crated when her family isn’t home, which helps her feel safe and secure. Gem is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, so she’s ready to transition smoothly into her new home. Her ideal family will not only appreciate her energetic and playful nature but also provide the structure and understanding she needs. If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion and are willing to travel to Reading, PA, to meet her, Gem could be the perfect fit!

Story
Hunter is an incredible German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) who has been a beloved part of our family since she was just a puppy. She’s a true sweetheart who thrives on attention and companionship, making her the perfect addition to an active and loving home. Hunter is crate-trained, well-behaved, and has a passion for upland hunting—her instincts and energy make her a joy to watch in the field. Beyond her skills, she’s a deeply affectionate dog who will quickly become your best friend. Our family is heartbroken to part with Hunter, but we are committed to finding her the loving home she deserves. Ideally, we’d love to see her rehomed with her best buddy, our other GSP, Major. Story
Major is a fantastic German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) who has been a cherished member of our family since he was just a puppy. He’s a big sweetheart who adores attention—truly a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Major is crate-trained, incredibly loving, and an exceptional upland hunter. He’s especially skilled at pointing pheasants, making him a great companion for anyone who enjoys hunting or simply wants an active and loyal dog by their side. It’s with heavy hearts that we’re seeking a new home for Major, but we are committed to finding him a family that will love him as much as we do. Ideally, we’d love for Major to be rehomed alongside his best friend and partner, our other GSP, Hunter. These two share an unbreakable bond and would thrive together in a home that values their companionship and talents. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion or a skilled hunting partner—and can provide a home for both Major and Hunter—please reach out.

Story
My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old.  My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult.  I LUV KIDS!   My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on.  I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too.  I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too.  I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes.  I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs.   We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime.  He is alert and very smart.   He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life.  He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training.  This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children.  He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good.  We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie.   He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.   If you are interested in knowing more about Robbie please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and we travel to the Northeastern region as well with our pre-adopted dogs.   Thank you for considering this precious boy   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm
