Story
FREE TO THE RIGHT HOME Finn is a 4 year old extremely sweet and energetic GSP/Chocolate Lab mix. You wouldn't think he's sweet because he has difficulty around strangers. He has been our baby since he was a mere 8 weeks old, so please know that this decision is not easy at all, and it was thought over time and time again. We are doing this so that he can have the life that he deserves, because he truly is an amazing dog once you give him a chance. - Loves car rides - Loves playing in water - Loves counter surfing - Loves snuggles at bedtime - Loves window watching - Loves playing frisbee - Especially loves fetching ball - Gets along with dogs and cats away from food - Has severe general anxiety (strangers/males) and separation anxiety. Anxiety towards males is likely because he is not fixed, so doing so could probably help that. NEEDS owner with more land or farm to run. Loves being outside. Would solve everything. We love him and want to make sure he has a great home and life.

Story
Hello, my name is Sequoia! I am an 11-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer. I came to the rescue after I was hit by a car and lost my back leg. Don't be fooled. I may only have three legs, but I have every ounce of GSP energy my four-legged GSP friends have. I can hold my own. I love everyone and everything. I want all the humans and dogs to be my friends. My foster family says I have a ton of goofy GSP energy. I play hard, but when I am done, I just want to snuggle and sleep on someone. I haven't been around a lot of cats, but I am sure I would have fun chasing them. I love to explore. My foster family told me I shouldn't put everything in my mouth, including fingers. They keep saying I need to stop being rough and "mouthy. I am doing my best, but sometimes I get so excited that I forget. I love to wrestle and play tug of war with my friends in my foster home. I admit, I can be wild and could probably knock over small children. It wouldn't be on purpose, but I should probably be in a house with older or dog savvy children who want to run around and play with me. My foster mom says I am a smart cookie! I don't know what that means, but I do like cookies. I know how to sit and lay down. I don't always listen to stay and come but I know what they mean. I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family is away from the house. I would prefer to be out, but I am fine looking out the window watching for birds before my nap. If I hear someone, I whine, but once I know I am not getting out I settle down and go to sleep. I always go potty outside, but I hear that regression is common in new environments. I might only have 3 legs, but I get "birdie just like all the other bird dogs I know. My foster mom always tells me not to pull on the leash but when I see something moving, I really want to hurry up and get to it. I love that I can run around in my fenced yard. I would prefer to have a fence in my furever home. I enjoy sitting outside and watching the birds fly by, then chasing them when they come close. I am hoping that my furever home is going to be with people who enjoy taking me for short walks, who will be patient as I continue to work on my leash manners, who will play fetch with me, then let me snuggle on them while I take a nap. I would love a fenced-in yard to run around and watch for birds. I am hoping I can continue to have the company of another active dog who won't get too mad at me when I get crazy. My foster siblings sometimes tell me I get too rough. I am still working on that. My foster mom says I need to go to a home where they have experience with my high energy breed. I am UTD on my shots and was recently spayed. I will need to meet all resident dogs to make sure they can handle my energy. I am being fostered in Mohnton, PA and prospective adopters may need to travel here for a meet & greet. If you think you could give me a forever home, please apply to adopt me on the Zoe's House website: www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoes House, Inc Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading pa 19608
