Story
Ahoy there. My name is SALTY and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Lab/Shepard mixAge: 6 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 30 kgHeight: tbdHighlight(s): likes to play ball, people friendly, bonded with Sweet Nothing better than having both sweet and salty at the same time, is there? My sis and I are both looking for homes. When I was puppy, my rescuer found me with my sisters. Our mother had an accident and died. One of my sisters came to Canada many years ago when she was a puppy, but me and Sweet (also posted) were taken care of by a good hearted acquaintance of our rescuer.Sadly, after almost a year, that person died of cancer and we were put in a boarding house, because we could not integrate with all the many dogs in our rescuer's home already. We've been together in boarding. The owner of the boarding house asked that we be moved to another place or pay a lot more. Our poor rescuer simply can't afford more. So we need a home asap, so we are not thrust into a crowded shelter with little food or out on the dangerous streets.Me & my sis are good with people, including children and we love to play ball. I am fairly friendly with other dogs, though my sister, Sweet can tend to be a tad alpha with smaller or other female dogs (except with me), but she loves large male dogs. We're both very friendly and make friends fast. https://youtube.com/shorts/-dZEGlbvbco,  https://youtube.com/shorts/NRgkukM6aBkIt is time for us to find a home of our own now. I'd like to stay together with my sister, but know that may not be possible. So, we could go to separate homes.I'd love a yard, but as long as I get outings, it's good. Really hoping since we've been together so long, we can stay together. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: some. I am familiar with a collars, house training.Leash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes. Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home. Health Notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Our adoption fee together is $1400 CAD. The adoption fee for me only is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes our/my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1663698##

Story
Good day everyone. I'm JAVA (Jack.) Please find info about me below:Breed: Golden Retriever mixAge: 2 yearsGender: maleWeight: 29 kg (64 pounds)Height: 50 cmHighlights: friendly, loving, laidback, quiet I rather look like the color of a creamy cup of coffee, don't you think? I'm just a sweet & creamy  furball, hence my name. When I was a young pup, I got some sort of skin disease and my previous “owner” just left me at a absolutely terrible shelter here in China. At the time, my rescuer volunteered there. She now has her own shelter. When she met me, she took me to her vet and had me treated. I have been staying at her shelter for the past year and half. Now it is time for me to find a home of my own. I am perked up and ready. My rescuer was offered a flight to Canada for me, so I am currently in Vancouver. No more of the same old grind at the shelter for me, no siree. You'll find I can jump start your day as well as any cup of caffeine. My kisses are a high grade octane boost. I am just the right blend of energy and chilled out pup. Hoping we can spend some time brewing up good fun.I truly love life in Vancouver. My foster mom lives in a condo and we get to go out for several walks every day. I just percolate with happiness at my good fortune. I'm a loving guy, as well.I was shy at the beginning, but have since relaxed a lot. I can be a bit shy with new people and in a new environment yet though. Once I get used to things though, I get into a laid back state of ease. I really am a friendly boy. Pretty quiet too.Try a shot of me, you'll love it. Wink. Video coming. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes. Await video.Cats: unknown. Rescuer states yes, await video.Kids: unknown, but I am good with my rescuer’s young daughter. Fears: none observed. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
Hi there. My name is LEESI (Lili) and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Labrador mixAge: 4 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 10 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Eager to learn, easily trainable, loyal, calm, cuddly, confident, funny, relaxed My life has been a journey of ups and downs, but it's a story of hope and resilience. Through it all, I remain a calm and faithful pup. When a mere two months old,I was purchased from a couple who were struggling with addiction. It was a chaotic and unstable environment, far from the loving and nurturing home a puppy like me deserves. For a month, I found some stability with a new family who took me in. However, their ability to care for me was short-lived. At the tender age of three months, I was abandoned in a garden, left all alone and scared. Imagine being so young and vulnerable, with no one to turn to. It was a frightening experience, but I held on to the hope that someone would find me and give me the love I needed. And then, a miracle happened. A kind-hearted team from a rescue organization found me in that garden. They saw the fear in my eyes, but they also saw the potential for a happy and loving life. They took me in, provided me with the care and attention I desperately needed, and gave me a second chance. At first, I was nervous and clingy, unsure of what the future held. But with time, patience, and lots of love, I began to blossom. I learned to trust again, to play, and to enjoy the simple joys of life. Now, I am on the path to finding my forever home, where I will be cherished, cared for, and loved unconditionally.I am an easily trainable pup, as I am eager to learn. I am mellow and relaxed, but also confident. You'll find I can act like a funny puppy at times. Other times, I just want to snuggle. I am firever loyal though. I'll remain by your side through all of life. I will likely get around 50-65 lbs full grown. My story is a testament to the power of rescue and the kindness of strangers who can change the life of a helpless animal like me. I am grateful for this second chance and look forward to the wonderful adventures and memories I will make with my new family. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way; your love and care have given me a new lease on life. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: UnknownKids: unknown, but rescuer states yes. Await video proof. Prey drive: moderate. Not observed with squirrels, etc... My adopter needs to be willing to provide training should this behavior arise.Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: I know Sit and Wait so far.Leash skills: some, Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
I can be on a flight in January, if I have an adopter lined up. Hi hi hi. My name is GOBY (Toby) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever mixAge: 11 months  013124Gender: maleWeight: 17 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): friendly, playful, affectionate You'll see I am a very friendly pup. I will wag my tail and give you kisses.Discovered in a city, tied to a tree without water, food or shelter, a rescue shelter volunteer saved me. The locals, who had tied me up, didn't want the volunteer to free me, so she snuck back the next day and brought him to the shelter. Sheer cruelty these people try to inflict on us dogs here.I'm still a young dog, so will get very excited and jump up on you. So, I'll need you to teach me proper manners. I have met children aged 11 on and am fine with them. I am really playful and love to chase other dogs and play ball. I love pets and attention, and am really just an  affectionate boy. I did meet the one cat at the shelter and was interested in him, but in a more playful way. So likely with proper intro, I'd do fine with a kitty too. Well, hopefully a cat who likes to play anyway.I do great on leash, no reactiveness. I am still a tad worried about cars and trucks, but I'm sure given time, I will learn I am safe with you. Probably some quieter areas away from traffic to walk in the beginning would be best. While I would love a yard to run around and play in, if we could get out places for fun, that would work well too. I hear there is a thing there called dog parks, which sounds like all the rage. Hope I can experience the fun of that.Hoping to be in your arms soon.
