Looking for an energetic pup to add to your family?! Look no further, Lady is here and she's ready for her new home! Lady loves to spend time outside (especially in the snow!) with her people! She loves going for long walks with her pup friends. Lady really enjoys other dogs. She grew up in a home with another dog and cats. She also grew up with young kiddos. She is very vocal when she wants your attention, and would do better in a home and not an apartment. She will require regular grooming as she is quite long and thick coated. When Lady is settled down and relaxed, she really enjoys love and affection with belly rubs! Belly rubs are her favorite!Apply online if you are interested in meeting Lady!Lady ID 587801https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-sunshine-coast/PLEASE NOTE: This dog is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt. Story
Meet Frankie! ❤️🐾 Frankie is a lovable, energetic sweetheart who adores people and plays great with other dogs! His playful spirit and big heart make him the perfect companion for an active home filled with love, fun, and adventure. ❤Name: Frankie ❤Age: Estimated 2-3 years old ❤Gender: Male ❤Weight: 30kg (65 Lbs) ❤Breed: Golden Retriever ❤Vaccinations/Neutered: Completed 👉Personality & Temperament Frankie is an affectionate and social dog who absolutely loves people. He enjoys playing with both adults and children, but due to his high energy level and tendency to playfully mouth hands and arms, he may not be suitable for very young children who could find him overwhelming. 👉Behavior with Other Animals 🦴Dogs: Frankie gets along great with other dogs and loves to play! He can be a bit rough when playing with larger dogs but is very gentle and adjusts his play style when interacting with small dogs. 🦴Cats: He has not been exposed to cats, but based on his personality, he is likely to approach them fearlessly and try to initiate play rather than avoiding them. 👉House Training Frankie is partially house-trained. He is used to relieving himself indoors but tends to only go in specific areas. If provided with pee pads in those spots, he will use them. He previously lived in a foster home where he preferred indoor potty breaks, likely due to limited early exposure to outdoor walks. However, his habits may have changed now that he is staying at a shelter. 👉Energy Level: 9-10 (High Energy) 👉Separation Anxiety & Barking 🦴No separation anxiety 🦴Vocal when he wants attention or playtime—he may bark at people or other dogs to express his excitement or needs. 👉Touch Sensitivity Frankie loves being petted and handled—he craves human touch and has no fear of hands. 👉Walking & Leash Behavior 🦴Strong leash pulling, especially when excited. 🦴Easily distracted and eager to approach people and dogs he encounters. 🦴Knows basic commands like "sit" and "wait" but struggles to respond in high-energy outdoor environments. 👉Escape Behavior No known escape tendencies; he does not attempt to run away from home or during walks.

Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home! Hello! My name is Hoya, and I’m a 4-year-old female Golden Retriever-Jindo mix, weighing 27 kg (59 lbs). With my large, sturdy frame and calm, friendly nature, I’m a truly special companion. Rescued from a shelter in Korea just before being euthanized, I’ve been given a second chance at life and can’t wait to share it with my forever family. I’m a quiet dog who rarely barks, and I’m incredibly friendly with people—even strangers. I trust humans completely and am happy to let them pet me. While I get along with other dogs, I tend to prefer spending time alone or enjoying one-on-one attention with my humans. I’m non-aggressive and absolutely adore showing affection—it’s in my nature to love and be loved. I’m well-trained and know commands like “sit,” “wait,” and “house,” which I follow with ease. On walks, I’m the perfect gentleman: I stay calm, walk steadily beside my human, and don’t pull on the leash. I enjoy exploring the world at my own pace, sniffing around with curiosity, but loud noises or sudden movements don’t faze me. I love treats and am cooperative with grooming activities like baths and brushing. My greatest joy comes from being close to people and feeling their love and care. My gentle personality and warm heart make me a wonderful addition to any home. Are you ready to welcome a loyal, sweet, and affectionate dog into your life? I’m Hoya, and I can’t wait to meet you and brighten your days with my love!

Story
Meet Margaret, a 1-year-old spayed female with a heart as golden as her fur! This sweet girl is a delightful mix of Golden Retriever and Welsh Corgi, with the gentle, expressive face of a Retriever and the charming, compact body of a Corgi. Weighing in at 16kg, she’s the perfect mid-sized companion for just about any home. Margaret’s journey hasn’t been easy—she was found alone in a deserted field where she was sadly being raised for meat consumption. Thankfully, a kind-hearted local stepped in and got her the help she needed. Despite her past, Margaret is full of love and trust, eager to share her affection with the world. She’s a social butterfly who adores people, whether familiar or new. Margaret loves to nuzzle up to everyone she meets, happily accepting pets and belly rubs—even offering up her belly to strangers with zero hesitation. She’s just as friendly with men as she is with women, and although she hasn’t spent time with children under 13, her sweet, affectionate nature suggests she’d do great with kids. You can even scoop her up by placing your arms under her belly—though fair warning, she may flop over in anticipation of being picked up! Margaret’s friendliness extends to her fellow canines too. She joyfully greets other dogs, whether they’re old pals or brand-new acquaintances, and invites them to play with her cheerful energy. She’s so popular that some dogs can’t help but follow her around, but Margaret never minds. Even if a dog pesters her or tries to stir trouble, she simply walks away—no drama here! She especially enjoys the company of dogs similar in size to her and has a knack for making friends wherever she goes. As for cats, Margaret hasn’t lived with one yet, but she’s gentle and non-aggressive, so a feline sibling could be a possibility with proper introductions. Margaret has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax once she’s had her fun. She absolutely loves going on walks and gets a little excited at first, which might mean some light pulling, but overall, she follows her human well and is a joy to stroll with. This lovely girl doesn’t guard her food from people or other dogs, has no separation anxiety, and rarely barks. She’s calm in a kennel, does her business outside, and is ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles to her forever home. Story
Luna is an approximately 1.5-year-old golden retriever mix with a heartbreaking past, but an unyielding spirit. Luna's life began on the streets as a stray. At some point, she became a mother to a litter of puppies. Tragically, while her puppies were still very young, Luna was struck by a car, leaving her hind legs paralyzed and struggling to survive. A local resident noticed Luna dragging herself through the streets to find food for herself and her puppies. Soon after, Luna was rescued along with her puppies. However, due to limited resources, Luna eventually found her way to Baibao Rescue, where we've been committed to providing her with the care and attention she deserves. Through diligent rehabilitation in the last few months, Luna has shown impressive progress. Though her gait remains unsteady, she can now bear weight on her back legs and walk independently. While incontinence remains an issue, she has also made significant progress. She currently wears a diaper but we believe that with the right owner, she can further improve. Luna is a loving and friendly dog, despite her tragic past. Her playful curiosity brings joy to every day, as she explores her surroundings with newfound happiness. She gets along well with both cats and dogs. Luna loves to eat but kind of goes crazy over food and eats too quickly, understandable given her background but it's something prospective owners will need to keep in mind. Luna would not be suitable for a household with dogs that are food-protective. However, Luna's interest in food will make training her much easier. For Luna's forever home, we seek an experienced dog owner with the time and patience to continue her rehabilitation. An individual who works from home or is retired would be an ideal match, as Luna requires constant attention and support. Caring for a disabled dog is a responsibility, but the rewards are immeasurable as you witness her progress and thrive. If you're ready to provide the love and care Luna needs, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection. Let Luna's story be a testament to the resilience of animals in the face of adversity. Adopt Luna and give her the chance to experience the love and security she's deserves.

Story
Meet our beautiful Snowy! She is a 2.5 year old Golden Retriever and is fully house trained, spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. She is a smaller golden, measuring about 20” at the shoulder. She is in every way “true to breed." Our current amazing foster tells us that if you like “goldens” you will surely love Snowy! She is happy, friendly, and eager to please, as 'golden's' are well known for. When inside the house, Snowy has very good indoor manners and is very polite. She won't even go up on the furniture unless invited. She has a gentle mouth and has allowed me to take things from her with little resistance – she likes to pick up her lead and walk about with it or sometimes a towel, etc. but no evidence of a chewing problem. She takes small treats very gently, too. She very much loves her humans and likes to be wherever they are. Snowy currently lives with two other dogs at the home and there is no problem at all with this. She gets very happy and excited to meet other dogs on walks and dog park and given her personality and disposition, we're pretty sure that other dogs, cats, adults and children are most likely not an issue for her. Snowy walks easily on a lead and doesn’t strain or pull and is friendly with everyone and “meets and greets” other dogs very pleasantly and then moves forward easily. . Snowy seems to respond well to a single quick whistle and some hand gestures. A new owner could rename her and then use her name consistently along with some gentle training in basic commands. She will be a willing student. As with all goldens and labs, Snowy needs a home that will love her deeply and in return she will love and be totally devoted to you. She needs to be a loving companion and will flourish best in a home that is eager to include her as a full family member.
