Rescued just in time from a shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia, Gatsby's past is a mystery—but one thing is clear: he was once someone's beloved companion. His intelligence and well-mannered behavior suggest he received training from an early age. Gatsby is calm, gentle, and incredibly polite. He knows basic commands like sit, shake, and wait and patiently sits for treats without a fuss. He’s not much of a barker and remains composed even in new environments or around strangers. He adores human affection and will melt into your touch, always ready to soak up love and cuddles. While Gatsby is sweet with people, he's more of a solo explorer when it comes to other dogs. He prefers his own company over rowdy playtime and would thrive as the only dog in a home. If another pup challenges him, he may react, so a peaceful, single-dog household would be best for him. Ella is a strikingly beautiful golden retriever mix...and we think maybe husky or samoyed...she has the most interesting way of light howl talking to you, like she's having a conversation! Ella joined our rescue from a kill shelter in California where she was surrendered by her owner. She was designated rescue-only and wasn't getting seen by the public. Ella is 6 years old and great on the leash, potty trained and an all around great girl. She rides well in the car and is playful, but most of all she wants to be around her person. This transition has been tough on her and she is having a bit of separation anxiety when her foster leaves, a bit of barking - so she would do better in a house than a condo or apartment - but, we also feel this behavior can be worked with and will dissipate over time as she feels safe and that she is in her forever home. Ella will be adopted to an adult only home with no cats. She does fine with other dogs and that may help her separation anxiety as well. Ella would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Sweet Ella has received her spay and is current on vaccinations as a part of her adoption donation.

Beautiful Willa, a 7 year old golden retriever, lost her home due to a family situation. She was taken in by a family who tried to help her, however, they lived very near a firing range and Willa was terrified of the constant gunfire. They knew the best thing for her was to find her a good home and reached out to us. Willa needs a quiet home to decompress fully! Going slow will earn you her full heart and trust. Willa was wonderful with children in her last home, however, we feel it is best if she goes to an adult only home for now, with no other dogs. Willa is a bit overweight, but working on it! She has lost 4# already and should lose another 10 or so for optimum health. She loves to fetch and play so workouts will be fun! Willa is spayed, and current on vaccinations, so she is fully ready for her best and forever home.

Welcome Sage to CCPAL foster program. Sage is a 6 to 8 month old Golden Retriever/Collie mix. She is medium sized at about 30 pounds. She is good with other dogs. She likes the water, playing with sticks and walks nicely right beside you. She has a soft coat and will make a nice walking companion. I do think she will stay medium sized. She is spayed, vaccinated and healthy. She currently is in foster care in Tarpley Texas. Her and the other dogs in foster care here are up for adoption through CCPAL Rescue. Sage would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Sage is not food protective and gets lots of off leash play time with other dogs her size. She is a wonderful dog and through some of the puppy antics but still young enough to raise with the attributes you want in an adult. Someone that isn’t gone all day every day is best for any new rescue dog. You will need time to finish off her training. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Welcome Twinkie to CCPAL Rescue. Twinkie is a 10-week-old puppy. She is a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. She weighs about 12 pounds. She should be about 50 pounds full grown. She has a soft coat and is soft and relaxed when you pick her up. They were all rescued from a hoarding situation. They were timid when coming in to the Rescue. None got a lot of human interaction. They now get lots of interaction and are very sweet and becoming very social. They like play time with their siblings and are currently microchipped and getting all their puppy vaccinations. They have a soft coat and are not too big of shedders at the moment. She has big webbed feet and she is smallest in her litter of 3. She is the one that looks more Golden Retriever then the other 2. She should also be the smallest full grown. She has a slightly curly tail. She is learning leash work and kennel training. She would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Puppies are best with someone that doesn’t work 8 hours a day 5 days a week away from home. They need time with their owners and will need someone home to help in their potty training. Twinkie is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
