Story
Meet Brantley, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his 115-pound frame! This handsome 8-year-old Golden Retriever has settled into his foster home with ease, and after a glowing wellness check, he’s ready to find his forever family. Freshly groomed and looking dapper, Brantley is the total package—affectionate, well-mannered, and brimming with joy. Despite his impressive size, Brantley is incredibly gentle and thrives on companionship. He’s a smart boy who knows his commands and loves to shower his humans with love and loyalty. Whether he’s playing with his favorite toys, enjoying a good brushing, going for a walk, or simply lounging by your side, Brantley is happiest when he’s with the people he adores. Brantley may be 8 years old, but he’s still full of energy! While he loves his walks and can get a bit excited on the leash (especially in new areas), he’s also content to chill by your side, perhaps even while you watch TV. This easygoing boy is always ready for a new adventure, but he’s just as happy to relax with you after a fun outing. Though he’s a big guy, Brantley’s manners are impeccable. He’s fully house-trained, never destroys anything, and respects the boundaries of furniture—he prefers to sleep on his dog bed in the bedroom. Brantley’s patience and calm demeanor make him a joy to have around, and he never begs for food, preferring to simply lay down quietly while you cook or eat. While Brantley is a true people lover, he’s not so keen on other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the household. He thrives in the company of humans—adults or older children—and has even been friendly with cats in the past. Although he hasn’t spent time with cats in his current foster home, he showed no interest when he saw one at the vet. Brantley is a car enthusiast, always excited to hop in, though he may bark a bit at first. He calms down quickly and loves going on outings with his people. If you're looking for a devoted, affectionate, and easy-to-handle companion, Brantley is ready to bring joy into your home. He’s eager to please, loves everyone he meets, and would make a perfect addition to a family that can give him the love and attention he craves. For more information about Brantley please contact adopt@grrow.org or you can complete an adoption application at https://grrow.org/adopt ($40.00 Application fee is waived if applying for Brantley).

Story
Mack is a striking 2-year-old, 93-pound Golden mix with an independent spirit and an unwavering sense of loyalty. His journey began in the confines of a car, where he and his owner lived for months. Despite the challenges, Mack remained devoted, holding onto the only bond he knew. Now, he's ready for a fresh start—a place where he can find stability and trust. We suspect Mack has some herding breed in his lineage, which explains his sharp awareness and natural instinct to oversee his surroundings. He thrives in a structured environment and often chooses a high vantage point—like a window or his favorite spot in the house—where he can quietly observe and ensure everything is just as it should be. Mack isn’t one for chaos or the high-pitched squeals of children. He prefers calm, predictable interactions with adults who understand his need for space and respect his boundaries. His ideal home is a quiet one, where he can perch near a window, keeping watch over everything like any good herding dog would. Currently undergoing treatment for Lyme disease, Mack is on the road to recovery while maintaining his strong, resilient nature. He isn’t overly affectionate but may seek attention on his own terms. Once he trusts you, his devotion is steadfast. He has not been tested with cats and would do best as the only dog in the home, where he can fully relax and bond with his humans. Mack’s Perfect Home: ✅ A small farm or a very active family - he needs a job ✅ A quiet, structured environment with a stable routine ✅ An adult-only household, as loud noises and high-energy children can be overwhelming ✅ A dog-savvy owner who respects his independent nature ✅ A secure yard or safe outdoor access for him to observe his surroundings ✅ A patient and understanding person who will let him bond on his own terms ✅ Mack prefers to be the center of attention and would do best as the only dog in the household ✅ He has not been tested with cats in foster care but the previous owner said that he is okay with cats Mack isn’t a dog for every home, but for the right person—someone who understands his need for space and respects his protective instincts—he will be a fiercely loyal companion. From his favorite spot, he’ll quietly watch over his world, always ready for a calm, trusting connection. If you are interested in learning more about Mack please contact adopt@grrow.org or if you can complete an adoption application at https://grrow.org/adopt ($40 adoption application fee is waived for Mack).
