Story
Lucky is a wonderful dog, he loves being petted by humans and loves to play tug and fetch, loves getting your attention. He is born in November, currently 9 months old, and 65 pounds. He needs a daily walk around 30mins. He is dog door trained, he knows to go outside to do his business. He gets along with most adults, he’s okay with older kids, but as a puppy himself, I do not recommend leaving him to play with younger children alone. He sees them as playmates, he won’t bite, but he likes to nip on them, which sometimes could accidentally hurt very young children (unintentionally). Although I really love him, and don’t want to let him go, but I can no longer take care of him and give him the attention he deserves. He and my first toddler constantly get into fights, as I’m pregnant with my second baby taking care of him has become increasingly difficult as my family don’t like dogs and refuses to help taking care of him. Please give Lucky a loving new home!

Story
Hello humans! My name is Princess, and I’m a 5 year old Goldendoodle with a golden heart to match. I’m about 25 pounds of fluffy adorableness, and I’ve got a friendly personality to match. Despite my royal name, I haven’t had the easiest life—I spent my whole life confined to a puppy mill. But now, thanks to the rescue, I’m finally free and ready to start a new chapter. I’m a sweet and friendly girl who gets along well with everyone I meet. The rescue has already scheduled my spay, so all I need now is a loving home where I can feel safe and cherished. I’m ready to share my days with you and make up for lost time. I can’t wait to show you how wonderful life can be with me by your side! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
From tragedy to triumph, Tuna Doodle Casserole’s journey is the epitome of inspiration! After being subjected to a life of starvation and torture, his ‘owners’ decided they didn’t want him anymore. They threw him in their car and dared to bring him to the local shelter in horrific and heartbreaking conditions. Despite facing abandonment, mistreatment, and severe neglect, Tuna has proven to be one of the most resilient pups who overcame the toughest odds with a wagging tail and a heart full of love! While his past may have been ruff, Tuna's future is bright and filled with endless possibilities! Now, with a twinkle in his eye and a bounce in his step, Tuna is ready to embrace the warmth of a loving family. His playful nature and boundless energy make him the paw-fect companion for anyone seeking adventure and love. Whether it's a leisurely stroll in the park or a sprint around the block, Tuna is always up for some tail-wagging fun! With a heart as big as his appetite for life, Tuna is eager to shower his forever family with cuddles, kisses, and unconditional affection. Although he's not quite fond of feline friends, Tuna's love for humans knows no bounds! He's a social butterfly who thrives on companionship and cherishes every moment spent with his beloved hoomans. So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend who's brimming with joy and zest for life, then Tuna is the doggo for you! Story
Angel is a sweet, loving dog who has had some traumatic experiences; I am hoping to find her a loving, forever home. After her original owner passed away, Angel was found abused and severely neglected. She was taken in by a family member and nursed back to health. Although they loved Angel very much and wanted to keep her, one of their existing dogs did not like the competition and had attacked her, so she was rehomed with me. I have had her for almost 2 years now and love her very much but my life circumstances are changing, and I worry I will not be able to give her the space, time, and attention she needs and deserves. Angel is approximately 11 1/2 to 12 years old, but is healthy and still alert and energetic. She loves to be petted, go for walks, or simply to run around outside. She likes to be near you, becomes very attached, and does experience some separation anxiety when away, so someone who is home a lot would be ideal. She is a sweet, gentle, loving choice for a pet!
