Story
Buck, our lovable goofball. He's very sweet, playful, lover of small stuffies (ESPECIALLY Lambchop), great with everyone, and is a super cuddler. Buck is a goldendoodle who is turning 5 years old next month (August) but is in every way, a puppy by heart. He is house trained but not kennel trained. He is quick to learn tricks and will be patent in receiving treats. Buck will need a home that will help him continue working on walking on a leash - he gets too excited and will pull very hard. Since he was a puppy he's never enjoyed car rides, so we would need a home that can understand this and will be very patient with him regarding this matter. We're looking for a home that Buck will feel like he already fits in, that is stable, relatively active, and ready for a dog who's most comfortable space is next to you, in between your legs, on the couch or in bed. Fun Buck Fact: when you pet him, he'll oftentimes put his paw (or both paws) on you as his way of petting you back <3

Story
Sweet goldendoodle, about 1 year old, recently rescued. Great with kids, other dogs. Has a gentle temperament, eats slowly, loves snuggles. He is just a bit mischievous with chewing and needs a little help to be fully house trained (about 2 pee accidents inside a week). He needs someone who can train him and give him a loving home. Neutered and up to date on shots except one booster.

Story
Larry is a 2 year old, 85 pound Goldendoodle. He is fully potty trained except if someone new comes and he gets too excited (he piddles a little with excitement) We’ve worked really hard on his aggression toward food. He guards his bowl, so we just give him space. Our last dog wanted you to sit next to him when he ate so Larry is just not what we’re used to but probably more like a normal dog. Most of the time he is good but can get aggressive and growl over toys. He has been around my grandkids ages 2-10 and does really well but because of his aggression with toys it makes me nervous to have him around the kids. He also has become aggressive with me. We've tried to identify triggers and work with him but he continues to growl unprovoked but just with me. An unexpected health issue made it so my husband was Larry's caregiver most of the time and he wants little to do with me. My husband didn't want a dog and is not happy with a dog that is aggressive with me.

Story
Fozzy puts the gold in golden doodle! It’s rescue so dubbing him a golden doodle is just observation, not guarantee but seriously-look at him! It’s a little embarrassing but Fozzy got his first bad haircut right before picture day so you will have to use your imagination a bit to see him in his full fluffing glory. Honestly, if you can still look cute with a bad haircut then you are definitely good looking. Fozzy sure looks cute with those curls around his eyes! Enough about his looks- my two favorite things about Fozzy are his grade-A leash skills and the fact that he doesn’t mind being brushed. He basically let me brush him like a little pony with a care. I guess that means you have a potential walking partner who is going to look good while doing it. Walks with him are smooth sailing with hardly any need for corrections. On his first encounter passing a new dog, he was curious to say hello, but by the second pass, he kept walking without as much as a glance- that is impressive! Now Fozzy is cute and all but he is also a bit of a shy boy. Shy is one way to think of it but it also comes across as easy-going. He was introduced to a handful of dogs in a yard he had never been in, with a few strangers trying to get-to-know-him, it’s understandable that he took a minute to observe us before opening up, In the classic golden-doodle way, Fozzy has something to say. He uses his big bark to say hello, whether its people or other dogs. He may even be saying “Let me check you out. Stand there for a sec.” Fozzy is easygoing and confident but social skills with other dogs are a work in progress. We got a kick out of his big-puppy way of showing interest in the other dogs and exploring group play. Once he figured it out off to a game of chase he went. He gravitated to the smaller dogs and one of the calm females we introduced him to. This boy is lucky enough to be fostered in a home with other dogs and his foster has shared that Fozzy and her doodle get along great! Ill give you a not-so-secret-tip to fast track your connection with Fozzy. Treats. Any and all the treats. He is a foodie! If he was your friend, he would order his own meal and still insist you share yours- so he can try it. That enthusiasm for food will likely be a life-long trait in Fozzy so budget for the yummies. When it comes to cats, Fozzy's curious yet respectful. He'll sniff around but isn't overly bothered by them, especially if they're not too interested in him either. From what we observed he would be labeled as cat-tolerant though we always encourage slow introductions. Fozzy's ideal home would be in a setting where his occasional barking won't disturb neighbors, so a house with a yard would suit him best. If you have experience with the golden doodle type would be perfect. Having someone to help him polish up his skills is going to look so good on him. As far as other pets, Fozzy’s ideal doggie mate would be a calm female who isn’t going to rush a friendship- he likes to take it slow. Adopters familiar with golden doodles and a little patience in helping him blossom would be perfect! If there's another dog in the home, a calm and tolerant companion would complement Fozzy's personality well. Even with treats, he’ll need a little time to adjust and bond with his new family when he arrives, understandably so. If you have kids, we would recommend older kids who understand his quirks as his ideal match. He is a bit tall too so standing sturdy is a key feature of old kids-haha, most at least. If you're looking for a golden boy to get your steps with in style, I enthusiastically introduce you to Fozzy, an adoptable and available rescue dog. Your perfect match! If you have any questions about Fozzy, the adoption process or would like us to test for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email samanthar@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Morty was an oops baby of a Goldendoodle and Blue Heeler. When I adopted him, I had no idea it would be necessary for my mother to not only reside with me, but require full time care. Morty is high energy and a huge cuddler. He has been staying with my daughter, but she has another dog and many other responsibilities. We need a long term situation. He's easy to love.
