Story
Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/5/24 Meet Bruno! This handsome boy is currently at the Arkansas Paws in Prison program. See the end of this post for more info on the Paws in Prison program. He will graduate from the program in about 7 weeks.  Bruno loves kids and other dogs! He weighs about 80lb and is very strong. He seems to be a Lab mix. Maybe mixed with Great Dane or Mastiff but we don't know for sure! He’s a gentle giant who thinks he’s a lap dog. He is sweet and loves to play ball. He loves to romp and roll. And to him there’s nothing better than a backyard and a ball to fetch. He’s huge fan of fetch. Bruno is a friendly, social and affectionate 2-year-old. Right now, though, he’s lacking leash manners. But the inmate trainers will teach him the right way to walk on a leash. There is something about Bruno that is inviting, compelling and captivating. He’s a lab mix with a lab personality and warmth. Bruno is big, but goodness, he’s such a great guy! If you aren't familiar with the Paws in Prison program, it is a training program where dogs are paired with 2 inmates. These inmates have gone through training themselves, to learn how to properly train the dogs.  Once enrolled, the dog lives at the prison with the inmates for 8 weeks. During that time, they are trained in basic obedience. They learn skills like house training, basic commands, leash walking, manners, etc. The inmates and the dogs all meet with the trainer once a week in a common area, where all the dogs are together, and each week they show the trainer what they have learned, and get assigned new tasks for the following week.  Each inmate keeps a journal on their dog. The journal is passed along to the adopter one the dog is adopted. The journal tells all about the dog, what they have learned, what they still need to work on, likes/dislikes, etc. At the end of the 8 weeks, the dog goes thru the Canine Good Citizen test.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Zoe is in a neighboring rescue that is having a family emergency. If you are interested in adopting her, we will bring her into Hay Dude to complete the adoption. Let me introduce myself with a big hello from ME, Zoe. I'm a wanting a family, one that I can call my very own! I'm still a youngster at 2 years. I have a moderate energy level that will need daily walks and playtime. I get on great with people both tall and small but will require a home as the only female pup. I would do great in a home with a larger male or as your one and only. I've got that pure sweetness about me that spills over with every look, tail wag and lean! I'm already house trained so we can get to the fun stuff right away!! I am on the smaller side for a Dane coming in at just 93lbs but that is a 93lbs of pure love, 93lbs of making you melt with just a look, 93lbs of a heartbeat at your feet!!! Are you in search of a BFF to have your back? A sidekick to tag along on your daily going ons? A cohort for all your adventures? Oh my, you don't have to look any further, I'm that gal looking to be YOUR gal!!! You can fill out my adoption application found at haydudeequine.org

Hi ya world, my name is Rori and a happy pup full of life is my game! I'm a 4 month happy bouncy ready for whatever you throw at me gal. I'm active, playful, sweet and charming! I'm ready for any and all adventures that include us doing them...together!! Do you like long walks? Me too, I'm gonna go get my leash. Do you like going camping/hiking? Hey, I certainly don't mind sleeping on the ground if you don't. Do you like belly rubs? I'm not the greatest at giving them, but I sure do love getting them. I come in at around 23lbs and should stay at a fabulous mediumish size when I get myself fully growed up. A pawsome size for all those adventures and still room on the couch for getting those belly rubs! I'm house trained and doing really well with knowing to do my business outside which means we can get right to the fun stuff! I'm looking forward to being a BFF, one that always will have your back, a sidekick, one to accompany you on your daily going on's, a cohort, one for all those action type adventures...could I be that 'ONE' for YOU?!!!
