A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her! Meet Beefcake, a goofy and HUGE 1-year-old male Great Dane who's looking for his best human buddy. Beefcake is a big guy with a big heart. This giant is affectionate at home and adoringly leans on his humans, but he's still learning to navigate his size. Beefcake is deaf, which means he relies on visual cues for communication. He's nervous meeting new people on leash, but is friendly once he gets to know them. Beefcake has some territorial tendencies and is currently working with our professional dog trainers to address these behaviors. He needs someone who’s willing to be consistent with training, work with the tools he requires and be patient as he learns and progresses. He enjoys being around other dogs, but cats are not his thing. Beefcake must go to a home with someone who has experience with very large dogs and is willing to continue his training journey. His ideal home is with a single adult or adult couple — no children, please, due to his size and training needs. Meet Geeno (AKA Grandpa Gee)— Geeno is an extra large and extra special, senior Great Dane who is looking for a special home. He found himself at animal control after rummaging through neighborhood trash cans, eating anything and everything just to survive. He was a sad and emaciated 113 pounds when he came in (when we believe he should be closer to 150-160 pounds when fully healthy). He is also missing an eye which is believed to be caused by an old injury; but it is now healed and does not cause him any pain. He does have a large amount of skin tags but the bothersome one`s have been surgically removed. He was also recently neutered and had a dental done.Geeno is currently fostered with two other dogs and while he gets along well with his foster brothers (after slow introductions), what he would love more than anything is to be your one and only. You’ve got attention to give, and well, Geeno wants ALL of it. He’s a true velcro dog who is loving, loyal, and committed to never leaving his person`s side. A fenced in yard is a requirement for this handsome guy, because although he’s a senior, he’s certainly got some spunk to him and loves having the room to run and stretch out those long legs of his! While he does currently have spunk to him, we are also looking for a home with no stairs as his back legs are slowly beginning to weaken and we want to keep him as comfortable as possible. He will remain on gabapentin for life (at the adopters expense). Geeno is potty trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in the car. He is just an overall LOVER boy who will gladly make himself comfortable in your lap, bed, and home. We are heartbroken to surrender Rory but she does not get along with our other dog. We took her from a friend’s neighbor who got her during Covid and decided then decided she was too much when they went back to work. We had always had big dogs but got them as puppies so training was easier. She is very sweet and just wants to be loved. However, she does not like other dogs! Would be great for a home with no other dogs or small children - she doesn’t know how big she is! She is microchipped, spayed and tucked. No health issues. We are willing to drive her to a good home and will provide her crate and toys :)
