Ace is a stunning 2-year-old purebred Great Dane with a gorgeous Blue Merle coat and a heart as big as his 110-pound frame! Surrendered by a Louisiana breeder, Ace has been given a second chance at a happy life, and he’s ready to find his forever home. This big, lovable guy gets along well with other dogs as he lived with a number of other Great Danes, and might still have some growing left to do. He’s neutered, current on vaccines, and heartworm negative—healthy and ready to start his next chapter. Great Danes are known for their laid-back, couch-potato demeanor, and Ace is no exception! While he’s majestic and powerful, he’s just as happy lounging around and soaking up your affection. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate friend who will stand by your side (and maybe on your couch), Ace could be your best decision yet. Story
Hi! I'm Rivera. I'm from Texas. From his foster: Rivera is fun loving young guy who has the goofy/loving characteristics of a Great Dane and the energy of an Aussie. Rivera absolutely loves to play and would do great in a home with another dog who loves to run around or a single guy with an active family. Important note that even though Rivera is active, as hard as he plays, he loves just as hard and thoroughly enjoys cuddle time. Rivera LOVES kids but has no idea how big he is. He has also shown to have a little extra interest in cats so a home with either no cats or one who is dog savvy would be best.

Story
Hello my name is Blue, I’m from Minnesota! From his foster: Blue is a sweet loving older dog. He LOVES to snuggle and spend time with his people. He’s great with active elementary aged kids and loves to lick their faces. Because he loves to be close and he is strong, he could knock over a smaller child as he isn’t always aware of how big he is. He can be quite active for walks or for a bit of play but then snoozes most of the day away. Though I am home most of the time and he sleeps in the bed near me, when I’m not around, he is very comfortable in his crate. He sleeps in his crate and though he takes some reminding (he’d much rather sleep with us), he settles right down to sleep when it’s bed time. Blue loves a good walk but is also more than happy to sniff around in the fenced backyard. He can pull and on a leash and it would be best if his person is comfortable managing a strong and active dog. We haven’t been able to expose him to other dogs at this time so it’s unclear how well he will do with another dog. Blue is a wonderful dog that will sure to bring joy to a family ready for snuggles and a bit of play.

Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there, I’m Falkor, an 8-year-old, 100-pound Great Dane, and I’m here to tell you all about me! First things first, I’m a certified cuddle expert—snuggling is my absolute favorite thing in the world. If you let me, I’ll happily bury my head in your arms and just soak up the love. I might be a big guy, but I have a soft heart. At home, I like to relax in my favorite armchair and watch the world go by. Blankets, towels, and floppy toys are my jam—I’m still figuring out this “toy” thing, but I love cozy things I can snuggle into. Walks are another highlight of my day! I do pull a little on the leash, but I’m getting better every day with a confident human leading the way. If you have a big, fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and have a good run, that’s a bonus—but not a dealbreaker. I’m just as happy with regular walks to get my exercise and fresh air. I’ve got some great manners, too! I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and I know commands like “come,” “go potty,” and “outside.” I’m a quiet guy who doesn’t bark much, just when something catches me off guard. When it comes to other dogs, I do best with bigger, calm companions. Small dogs can make me a little nervous, but I’m learning to be more comfortable with time and space. Oh, and kids? I think they’re great, but since I’m a big boy, kids who are used to big dogs are the best match for me. Oh, and one last thing—I LOVE pajamas. If I had my way, I’d have a whole closet full of cozy jammies to show off. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who’s all about cuddles and calm vibes, I’m your guy. Let’s meet—I can’t wait to find my forever family! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
