Story
We’re fostering Molly for Animals Lives Matter Of East Texas, an 9 year old female Great Pyrenees. She was completely matted and smelled terrible! 2.5 hours of shaving later, she’s no longer matted, panting and rested easy. Molly has gained weight and strength, and has learned how to use a doggy door. She is vaccinated, crate trained and gets along with everyone and everything (adults, children, dogs, cats, etc.) Molly does well in a busy home where there is a lot for her to watch over :) Click Here to visit Molly’s Facebook Album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.768317348810586&type=3

Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Adoption donation $525 weight  79 lbs  Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024              Logan is a friendly and sweet boy who is the quintessential family dog, he adores children and just loves to be with his people. if you sit down, you will likely find his big head nestled on your lap. He loves toys and bones and is a very easy-going boy. Logan is 100% House trained.        Logan definitely needs a yard, this boy loves to be outside! He doesn’t go far, if you call him, he will come right over to you. he is leash trained and if you have a big enough crate, he will go in there for naps.         Logan’s father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom is a 35 lb mixed breed. His original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time. Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for Logan to find a loving home of his own.         Logan got along well with most of the dogs at the rescue, although he’s definitely the alpha male and does not like to be challenged by another male. In his foster home in the northeast Logan lives with three females, including a puppy who jumps all over him, and he just wags his tail. We’ve noticed that he does fine with small and medium dogs but tends to get more alpha with dogs his size. For that reason, we would prefer a home with dogs smaller than him or just a home where he can be the center of attention, he really just loves people so much.       Logan has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a healthy boy who is ready to make a lucky family a very loving companion. All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Story
Meet Snoopy, a seven-month-old, 34 lb. Great Pyrenees mix puppy with the softest white coat, floppy ears, heart nose, and gentle brown eyes. He's just about fully grown and should not exceed 40 lbs. as per our vet. He was found roaming the streets in Texas before being brought in by a good samaritan. He’s now in a foster home in Connecticut awaiting his furever family. We don't know what Snoopy's life looked like before coming to us but we believe it was one filled with neglect and abuse as he is very shy and fearful when meeting new people. While timid, he does warm up to doggies much quicker than he does to humans. Snoopy currently lives with multiple dogs of all sizes and ages in his foster home and enjoys their company. Once he feels comfortable with you, he is a very sweet boy who enjoys cuddling and getting lots of pets and belly rubs. Snoopy will even give you kisses when he’s ready to - you just have to go at his pace and be aware of his body language so an experienced dog owner is crucial. Once he’s settled, he loves to play with his toys independently or with his foster siblings. Snoopy is more fearful of men and seems to be more comfortable with women. He'd be best suited in a family with teens and up. His ideal home would be a quiet one with another dog as they help to build his confidence and make Snoopy more comfortable. He MUST go to a home with a fenced yard (no exceptions, no electric). Being that he's young, Snoopy will require someone who's going to be home often and commit to training and confidence building. He is very food motivated (treats are the key to his heart) and a fast learner. Snoopy is house trained and crate trained, although he doesn't enjoy being in there and would much rather be with you. He’s in need of an adopter who will be patient for him as it will take him some time to trust you. His adoption fee is $450 and he is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. If you are interested in Snoopy, please complete our online application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. If you have any questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Sweet Tilly is about 4 months old and ready for a home to call her very own. Daddy is a pure bred Great Pyr and Mommy is (now spayed) pure bred Weim. This little lady will most likely be a large girl full grown. She's very social and loves all the people that she meets. She'll be a fun addition to any loving home. Tilly Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
