Story
This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue. Please contact the owner listed below directly. Stella is a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix. She is a healthy pup, up to date on all vaccines. She is much loved, but due to life and work changes her current owner can no longer care for her. Stella loves people. She gets along best with male dogs, but would rather be in an adult household as the only dog, Stella is potty trained, is a quick learner and knows the basic commands... and LOVES to run and play fetch. Stella will make a wonderful hiking companion. She loves to go on hikes and sniff everything along the way. But she can also be chill. At night, or on rainy days, she likes to be lazy and cuddle as much as possible with you on the couch. She loves belly rubs and will let you know by pulling your hand toward her belly with her paw. She will alert you to people entering the house, but give her about 10 minutes, and she will be their best friend. Stella is a very sweet dog. She wants what we all want… stability and someone to love her, and she will return that love tenfold. If you are interested in this dog, please call Christine 914-907-4171.

Story
Nancy is a STUNNING 45 pound (and still growing!), 5-month-old Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. She has a big personality, but that's what makes her so fun and amazing. Nancy came to the rescue with all her siblings and is now hoping she will find her forever home like the rest of them. According to her foster, out of the dozen dogs they have had in their home over the last few years, Nancy is definitely one of their all-time favorites. Nancy is just such a sweet, beautiful girl. She loves exploring, playing, and making friends. This being her first winter, she has discovered she is a big fan of romping in the snow! This big girl has lots of puppy love she wants to share with everyone, but due to her size, she might do best with bigger kids. She also would love another dog to play and pal around with. Basically, Nancy is a home run of a dog! She's a big sweet playful puppy- so excited to share her huge heart with the right family for her. Could that be you?? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Flint is a 65 lb, 8 month old Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix. This handsome boy is deliciously soft and strikingly handsome. True to his Pyr heritage, he is initially a bit wary of strangers and will bark a little when first meeting new people. He warms up quickly, however, and will soon be in their lap and giving plenty of kisses! Flint adores his people and is a delicious snuggler! His favorite is a cuddle on the couch in the evening, and he does think he's a lap dog! Flint is obsessed with the other dogs in his foster home and would love a canine sibling in his new home. He follows the other dogs in his foster home around and likes to climb on top of them for a cuddle or a wrestle. Flint can occasionally be a bit mouthy but redirects well to his toys. He enjoys playing with his toys and can often be found carrying a favorite around with his head held high and whole body wiggling. He is a pretty laid back guy and adores his young, human foster sister. Flint likes to be outside and would love a home with a fenced yard. He is crate trained, housetrained, walks well on leash, comes when called, and knows "sit". Flint is food motivated and very trainable. It would truly be hard to find a sweeter or more handsome boy than Flint! He is one of a kind!! Story
Raven is a stunning 13 week old, 26 lb Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. As precious as she is sweet, this girl is truly amazing! Her tail is always wagging, and she loves to play. Fluffy and delicious, she is also an amazing snuggler!!! Raven has a blast with the other dogs in her foster home but would be fine as an only dog. True to her breed, she enjoys being outside and loves the snow. She would enjoy a home with a yard, so she can romp and play. This girl is snuggly and sweet, with the most delicious kisses for her people. She is pretty good about playing with her toys but is young so needs redirection and consistency as well. We anticipate she will be about 75-90 lbs when fully grown. Since she is a young and large puppy, she would do best in a home with no young children (unless they are XL breed savvy). Raven is a smart girl and very eager to please. She is housetrained if kept on a schedule, crate trained, and working on her basic commands. She is food motivated and will excel in a home willing to continue her training! You don’t want to miss out on this doll! Story
Hey there, I’m Bailor, an 85-pound bundle of love and fluff! I’m a 3-year-old Pyrenees mix, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love giving hugs. Seriously, it’s my favorite thing to do! If you’re looking for a big, happy, silly pup who will wrap you up in the best doggy embraces, then I think we’re meant to be. I’m a super sweet and friendly guy who loves hanging out with other dogs and spreading joy wherever I go. I may be a big boy, but I’m just a goofball at heart! I can be a little clumsy, so I’m not a good fit for a home with tiny humans—I wouldn’t want to knock them over with my excitement! But if you’ve got space for me to play, lounge, and, of course, give hugs, I’ll be the happiest pup around. I still need to gain a little bit of weight, but that just means I need some good meals and a loving family. If you’re looking for a big, sweet, happy-go-lucky dog to fill your days with laughter and love, then I just might be your guy. I’ve got a hug waiting just for you! Story
Roscoe is a handsome 13 week old, 34 lb Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. His markings are extremely striking, and he is deliciously fluffy. True to his Pyrenees heritage, he is a little wary of new people but a total love once he gets to know you. This big boy adores his canine friends and gets confidence from them, so he would love a home with another dog. Since he is a young and very large puppy, he would do best in a home with no young children (unless they are XL breed savvy). This big boy is expected to be 80-100+ lbs when he is fully grown. Due to his size, he is not suited for apartment living and would prefer a home with a fenced yard. Roscoe is housetrained if kept on a schedule, crate trained, and working on his basic commands. This cutie is delicious! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization.
