Meet Kevin Kevin is a wonderful Great Pyrenees Mix who lost his farm home after repeatedly running away during thunderstorms and leaving the livestock unattended. He just did not want to be the herding dog his family was forcing him to be…so he repeatedly tried to escape to a better life, as an indoor family pet. Kevin is just about 3 years old, and weighs an estimated 115 lbs. In his foster home, Kevin has adapted wonderfully to inside family life including never having accidents in the house or getting into things belonging to others in the household……or herding the other dogs! Kevin gets very anxious during storms and fireworks so he wears a thunder shirt and takes calming meds for those times. He is not destructive when anxious; he just wants to be close to someone and he pants a lot. An ideal home for this precious boy one with Great Pyrenees experience, a secure fenced yard, possibly a canine companion and most importantly plenty of attention, patience, and love to offer this very special boy. Kevin is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped. Meet Cleopatra, the sweetest and most adorable Great Pyrenees mix you could ever hope to meet! This lovely girl is not only great with children but also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her the perfect companion for a family. Cleopatra is mostly potty trained and is well on her way to being fully housetrained. Though she was returned to the rescue due to her generalized anxiety and dislike of being crated, Cleopatra is still a gem of a dog. It seems she had some negative experiences with crating in her previous home, so she will need an adopter who understands that crating is not an option for her right now. Instead, she would thrive in a home where alternative options to crating are embraced, and where she can be gently introduced to new experiences to help build her confidence. Her previous foster couldn't say enough good things about her. Cleopatra may be shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes the most loving, snuggly dog you could imagine. She's been amazing with kids, including toddlers, and has even bonded with her foster's senior dog. While she may be a little nervous around more energetic dogs, she quickly settles in with calm and gentle canine companions. Cleopatra is doing well on a leash, though she can get a bit frightened when other dogs pass by. She hadn't had any accidents in the house and had already learned to sit for treats! This sweet girl just needs a loving home that understands her unique needs and can provide her with the patience and love she deserves. He is fully housebroken, knows the commands sit and paw, and loves to catch treats in his mouth. He enjoys tug-o-war and never looses! Frank has done well with some dogs primarily females close to his size. He would do best in a family with children 13 + and no cats. If you are looking for a walking buddy Frank is your guy. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up to date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. She's mastered commands like "sit, stay, lay down, and paw," and she's currently adding "kisses" to her repertoire. Magdaline enjoys bath time, being brushed, and behaves excellently on walks with her leash. Magdaline is house-trained and displays lots of affection.
