Meet Dominic! This nearly one-year-old, Pyrenees mix is a 60-pound bundle of fluff and love, ready to steal your heart. He's neutered, microchipped, and all caught up on his vaccinations—Dominic is ready for his forever home! This gentle guy is a bit timid and still figuring out that the world isn't a scary place. Story
Meg is a 15 month old, 75ish lb, Great Pyrenees/Labrador puppy looking for a loving home. She was rescued by a good Samaritan as she was chained to a cinder block day and night, hot or cold, storms or rain... We are so happy to have Meg, and are committed to helping her find her a family who will love her and take care of her. She is the sweetest thing and went to a temporary foster home for a brief stay, and they said  "Meg is a SUPER sweet girl!!!  We were watching a tv program last night and just so happened there were goats on the tv that were in distress...  When Meg heard them crying, she went crazy trying to find them and help them! (That's her breed!)  Poor girl. Hope she can find her new family pack soon!" Meg was never in a crate, so her new family will need to work with her on that, and lots of other things too. Meg will need a fenced in yard, as Great Pyrenees love to patrol and protect and they do that best in a secure fenced in area.  She will need plenty of exercise and direction as she is still young, and does get along well with other dogs, and is said to be ok with cats, but GRRAND has not cat tested her. Please check back for more info on Meg or if you would like to help bust her out of the kennel, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org     ##2358392##

Story
Crash is less than a year old, he is super sweet and loving. He is house trained, he uses a doggy door so not sure how he would do with no way to go in and out with not having accidents. He can give you his paw. He loves being outside and will go and lay in the rain or snow!! He does like to roll around in the mud when it rains. My landlord won’t let me keep him and he really needs a large yard, a farm, some place where he can roam and watch over others. He is very protective of my son, he will follow him or me everywhere. He’s good with other dogs, he wants to “mother” them.

Story
Apollo is a big love! He likes to be outside, and with a lot of property. He has been good with my son, and is great with my other dog and cat. The biggest issue we’ve had since my son has come into the picture is marking. We’ve given it 2 years and he still marks my son’s toys. He would do best with an active owner, and older children. Even though he is good with my son, I do feel there is a form of jealousy (especially because he was my fur baby for 2 years before my son). Apollo loves to run, and be around other dogs. He is pretty low key (lazy bones) and a great protector.

Story
Maisie was found along the road 1.5 years ago. Her DNA shows 80% Pyr, 10% Border with the rest a mix of Shepherd and KY Walker. She is wonderful with kids and longs to be a lap dog but needs to be an only dog. Her resource aggression will lead to an attack on a smaller dog. She in personality is 100% Great Pyrenees. She is completely devoted to her family and demonstrates this via barking and shedding.

Story
Big Guy is a Great Pyrenees. His name is a mirror of his weight, which is around 80lbs. We love his badger markings on his face! He loves to be around people and gets along well with other dogs. He's easy going and is unbothered by most things. He is very well mannered and socialized. He does not want to be an outdoor dog. He prefers to be indoors with his people. With any breed some research should be done before committing to one. 5 things you need to know about Great Pyrenees: 1. They dig 2. They bark 3. They shed twice a year for 6 months at a time 4. They drool 5. They roam These aren't traits you can "train out of them". They make wonderful pets in the home or on a farm. They're loyal and stubborn. Tib is awaiting the next part of his life. The part where he gets his own family. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, Treated for flea/tick and dewormed. For return calls on Big Guy, please submit an application. It is much more productive to speak with you when we have an idea about your living situation. Due to limited resources and time, we will not be answering questions or returning calls until we have an approved application. That is the first step in our adoption process. His adoption fee is $250 Applications can be found on our website: https://www.jessaminehumanesociety.org
