Story
This gentle giant goes by Ghost and he's looking for a new home after coming to the shelter through no fault of his own. Ghost, a Great Pyrenees, is almost 5 years old, absolutely loves other dogs, and would be a lap dog if you let him. He's a lovely even-tempered boy that is very lovable! Great Pyrenees can make great family dogs but this breed does require some additional maintenance to make sure they're healthy and happy. Ghost, weighing in at 155 lbs., will definitely need lots of room and a spacious, fenced yard. The Louisiana heat will require that Ghost gets brushed, a lot, to help him stay cool. This breed also loves to dig holes and cool their belly. Great Pyrenees were bred to be live guardians, so they are often active at night and like to patrol their boundaries. All that to say, if you give Ghost the home he deserves you will not be disappointed with this very good boy! The adoption fee is $50 and before Ghost leaves the shelter, he will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Story
Hello! I’m a handsome and affectionate Great Pyrenees who arrived alongside Pearl. Our breed is known for its love of escaping and exploring. Unfortunately, that’s why we were surrendered. We’re hoping to find an adventurous family with a spacious yard (and perhaps a sturdy fence). I’m 2-3 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, and heartworm negative. Trust me, I’m an incredible dog! August 18, 2024, 6:50 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Elsa, a one-year-old pup with a mysterious background that has everyone at Pet Savers scratching their heads. They all agree I’m a lab mix of some sort, but my super soft, almost wool-like fur has them guessing what other breeds might be in my family tree. I probably have quite a mix! My journey began in Texas, where I found myself in a shelter facing tough times. Luckily, Pet Savers stepped in and brought me here. I’ve been thriving ever since! I’m a sweet girl who loves to be around people. My favorite thing in the world is getting belly rubs, and I have a calm disposition that makes me a great companion. I get along wonderfully with other dogs here at the shelter and have become best friends with Sunny and Diesel. I’ve been spayed and am up-to-date on all my vaccines, so I’m ready to go to my forever home. If you’re looking for a unique and loving dog, I’d love to meet you. Please apply today!August 18, 2024, 6:50 pm
