Story
Let us tell you about Bear. Bear is a gentle giant. Bear got his name after being originally being picked up by animal control from the Cubby fuel station in NE Texas after being spotted for weeks laying around by the door or out in the parking lot. No-one knew where he came from. Just that he would show up and hang out to be near people and a Great Pyrenees who's family member worked at the station. Bear did get adopted out by someone who had a ranch near the Cubby station and tried to make him a pasture/livestock dog. But, Bear had other ideas and left the pasture and trotted right back to the Cubby station because he wanted to be around people. Animal Control heard about Bear being back at the station and were able to get him to the shelter. When they contacted his new owner, she relinquished him to them. When we heard he was back at the shelter, we immediately grabbed this boy from the urgent list and brought him to sanctuary. AND here is what we know. Bear may be a Pyrenees x, but Bear is not a pasture dog. He definitely enjoys a leash walk outside (and he is PERFECT on leash). But what Bear loves most of all is being inside in the air conditioning with his people being chill. Bear is friendly with all of the dogs he meets on walks! If you are looking for that TRUE gentle giant who will be right next to you at all times (a great emotional support candidate), this guy is the perfect choice. Story
Hey there, I'm Thor! I am young, fun-loving, and sweet, and will be as big and strong as my name suggests. I look forward to my days full of playing and snuggling with a new family. I am very sociable and love making new friends of all kinds (as long as they have energy like me). I love snuggling and showing affection to my new human friends. I am really getting the hang of this leash and enjoy going on walks to discover new things. I feel like I am pretty smart too. My foster mom is teaching me how to sit and be patient at feeding time, but I do get pretty excited. Give me a chance and I promise I will bring joy and laughter to your life. I am ready to be your country companion. Let's give it a try! Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states. Story
Annie Oakley from Okie Oklahoma was dumped at a travel stop in Oklahoma. Thank goodness some kind truck drivers at the stop made sure she was given some water overnight until an angel appeared. That angel was our very own rescue team member and transport driver, Melissa, who immediately took charge of the situation and got this girl the attention she needed. After leaving her contact info with the travel stop, shelter and truck drivers who were helping in the event someone was missing this girl, Melissa loaded Annie and brought her to TX. What a beauty she is. Sweet, quiet, and very gentle. What an amazing pup for someone who is looking for a loyal companion. Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states.
