Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Hi! My name is Chester and I am a big teddy bear! I am 85lbs but I believe I am a lap dog. I love to give cuddles and enjoy being right by my foster Mom! I do well in my crate overnight and when my foster Mom has to leave for a short time. I walk calmly on a leash and I love playing with the resident dog that I live with. I let you know when I want to go outside…..to relieve myself, play with the resident dog, or to just sit in my happy place. I was made for these cold temps so that hasn’t bothered me at all since arriving from Alabama. I will make a great companion for anyone wanting a big, cuddly, sweet and lovable dog! I hope to meet you soon! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi! My name is Winkler, and I am from Missouri! From his foster: Winkler is your typical sweet and mischievous puppy. His favorite activity is wrestling and running around with his brother, Petey. Winkler has impressed me greatly with his potty-training progress. He is doing well on a schedule and relieves himself quickly when we go outside. He is slowly but surely practicing being on a leash, but right now the leash seems more like a fun chew toy. Winkler does well with food puzzles and will forage for food any chance he gets. He often sings the songs of his ancestors, so please take that into consideration if you live in a shared-walls environment. Winkler is discovering the world more and more each day and can't wait to find his furever home!

Hi! My name is Patchouli, and I am from Missouri! From her foster: This sweet girl is Patchouli, but we call her Patch! Patch is being fostered with her sister, Bauson, and they have lots of fun together. They are curious girls who are loving playing outside in the snow, chasing each other around the house, and sleeping side by side when it's time for bed. She's just a baby, so she’s still figuring out all the things about this world she lives in! She loves to put things in her mouth, and is learning what it means to go outside to go potty, and that she's going to be okay when left alone. She is learning, and gaining more confidence each and every day! Patch is quite the sweetheart, and is such a little snuggle bug. She seems eager to please and is very treat motivated, so I imagine she will grow up to be a very smart girl! She will absolutely steal your heart just like she's stolen mine.

His favorite activity is wrestling and running around with his brother, Winkler. Petey took to potty-training immediately, and continues to improve, even in the frigid cold. He is doing well on a schedule and relieves himself quickly when we go outside. He is slowly but surely practicing being on a leash, but right now the leash seems more like a fun chew toy. Petey is more on the shy side, but is coming out of his shell more and more each day. He gains a lot of confidence from other dogs and would love to have a dog sibling to show him the ropes.
