Story
My dogs name is Webbs he is 2 years old. He is a gentle giant. He was raised with another dog a husky and a house with three children. I am not sure how he is around other animals but he does do fairly well with the other husky. Webbs was originally adopted from a Humane Society but due to our family needing to relocate for unable to bring Webbs with us. I am not asking for a rehoming fee because I just want him to be in a nice home with people that love him and treat him well.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $300 plus tax Friendly! Not treat motivated  No accidents No separation anxiety  Dwight would do best in an active home (His foster believes a home without younger children or another resident dog would be ideal) Loves to be outside  Goes on errands with his Foster like Home Depot runs and Petco visits One time Dwight saw a mannequin and nuzzled it's hand so it would 'pet' him - Cute!! Dwight would like everyone who sees him to say hi  Dwight is a handsome Great Pyrenees and Border Collie mix! He loves dog parks and playing outside, rolling in the grass. He will do well in a fenced property or farm. He is leash trained, muzzle trained, and crate trained, however, the door often remains open. He’s a quick learner. He’s a little over 4 years old and shy of 100 pounds. He knows no, wait, down, paw, gentle, bed, belly, “get it” to eat, and sit with many more things he’s still perfecting. He loves the butt scratches but when he is sleeping her prefers to be left alone. He can sometimes be a little protective of his chew bones or food. He doesn’t play fetch but he loves chasing a laser like a cat. He prefers humans to chase him as a way of playing. He came from a home with two adults and should not go to a home with children. He’s used to a more quiet space and doesn’t do very well with loud noises. He did a great job outside watching his previous owner in his work shop. He does a great job being an outside guard dog, that’s definitely the Great Pyrenees in him. He loves to work and play. He has a ton of energy.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Meet Porter, a Great Pyrenees born approx 9/12/24! The most friendly, lovable, gentle guy. Porter is house-trained and does great in his kennel overnight/while we are at work. He does well with other dogs and has warmed up to playing more with our dog. He has not been around cats or small kids quite yet, but he is such a sweet guy with a very calm personality. He does great in the car for car rides and enjoys being with his people. He likes to chew on bones or play with toys and has recently loved playing tug of war. After playing, he loves to cuddle up for a nap. He wants to be around or near his family. He knows how to sit, but is still learning “lay down” and to come when he is called; he is also still learning how to walk on a leash. He is so smart, I am sure he will have those down soon. He is a joy to have around, and any family will be so lucky to have this guy join their family. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2025, 9:34 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $550 plus taxDelphia (mom) and her 9 fluffy babies were brought to our rescue partner in Mississippi when the owner fell ill and the neighbor was threatening to shoot all the dogs :(  These pups are going to be just 6 weeks old when they arrive and so they need to stay in pairs or 3’s to continue learning proper social skills. While taking in two or 3 pups might sound overwhelming typically they will help keep eachother busy, content and happy giving the caregivers a little break between puppy shenanigans.  Due to their age and developmental needs they will not be available to officially adopt until 8 weeks of age. So they will need homes committed to having them for at least two weeks.    * Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.   If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.
