Story
Katara is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees mix that I have had since she was 8 months old. I acquired her from a gentlemen whom, after suffering a stroke, was no longer able to take care of her. I am looking for a new home for Katara because my husband and I are expecting a second child, and with a toddler and an infant in a small house, we have suddenly run out of room. We are looking for someone who is able to give Katara the time and attention she needs (taking her for walks, socializing, grooming, etc.). She has a bit of anxiety and gets nervous during storms and fireworks so having someone who can be present is desirable. A good home for her would have either plenty of space inside or a large yard for her to run in. Katara is a simple dog who's content laying around and getting pet. She is good with kids and while she does well with small mild mannered dogs, she can get confrontational with larger dogs.

Nellie is a sweet dog that needs more room and attention. She is crate trained and house trained. This dog is very food driven and will eat out of trash cans and off the counter. We want what's best for her and believe that a less busy home with lots of outdoor space to explore would make her a happier dog.

Story
Meet Yeti! He’s a big lovable teddy bear who was left to fend for himself by his previous owners when they moved. He LOVES to play in water. He’s very treat motivated and eager to please. He’s pretty docile with other dogs. Yeti has a bad ear infection he’s seeing the vet for, so we’re sure he’ll be more excited about pets once that’s better. Yeti is a big Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 70 pounds at 6 years old.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
**Meet Feather!**Feather is a delightful 1.5-year-old pup weighing in at 55 pounds. She was found as a stray, but since joining us, she has shown her incredible personality. Feather is fantastic with other dogs and loves to play, yet she also has a wonderfully laid-back side. She appears to be a collie mix, though her exact breed is a bit of a mystery. What is clear, however, is how beautiful she is, both inside and out. Feather would thrive in a home with another dog to play with and people to shower her with love. This gorgeous girl is ready to bring joy to her forever family!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Bean is four years old, weighs 136 pounds, and has been with us since March 2023, when our daughter began serving in the Navy. Bean is very loyal, loves going for walks, and lounging in the back yard. He loves snuggles and tummy rubs - really any kind of affection will do. He is not a big chewer, unless it's a bone or food. He is very much house broken. Bean is a celebrity in our neighborhood. We are often stopped by neighbors who ask what kind of dog he is, and they always comment how beautiful he is. He loves to visit with people in our neighborhood - both children and adults - and is very friendly. Bean is not kennel trained. He does tend to bark when visitors approach or enter the house, but is not aggressive. He prefers not to be alone too much, so a home that has people around most of the time is best.
