Meet handsome Hank, who is looking for his forever home. Hank is a 20lb, 3.5 month old Blue Heeler/Great Pyrenees mix - he's affectionate, goofy, and smart! He is all puppy with an unmatched exuberance for life and exploring the world. He is learning potty training and knows how to alert us when he needs to go outside. He understands the commands 'no' and 'come', and has just started leash training. He is very food and treat motivated! He gets along very well with dogs and somewhat well with cats though he can be a little rambunctious for the latter. He is crate trained and quiets very well when he goes in it. He loves playing outside with balls and sticks. When inside he loves chewing on bones, cuddling, and sleeping in his big boy bed. He is a wonderful dog and any family would be lucky to have him as a companion! Hank's adoption fee is $325, and he is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. Hi, I'm Luna Bear! I'm a 8 year old Great Pyrenese mix. I'm an older lady and have been in the shelter system for almost 3 years...I'm a lady of leisure and independence. I appreciate my own space, and while I may not be the life of the dog park, I offer a mellow companionship that's hard to find. I prefer a quiet home where I can relax and be myself. I'm not one for other dogs or cats, but I promise to fill your life with a unique kind of love. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
