Olivia is a fabulous happy girl who is called "Pony" at home because of her happy prance! She knows sit, come, and lay down and is super smart. Found stray, she takes more time than most dogs to get comfortable in a home .... but once she realizes you're her person, she will do her happy prance and get right in your lap for pets! Olivia's cautious nature does have her go on guard at new people ... She will bark a few times to alert you of a change in the home (so no apartments or townhomes). If it is a stranger or someone she's not comfortable with, she likes to retreat to a safe spot away from the visitor! MUST HAVES: a fenced yard as she is still a ball of nerves on a leash so is being walked short distances with double leashing for safety * A playful dog who can help her continue to build self-confidence * No small children as their busy nature keep her on alert * Time for at least one DAILY brushing. Olivia loves toys and bones - she will empty a toy basket one by one, picking them out and relocating to her bed! She is house and crate trained - and indifferent to cats! We are working on filling out her figure: she ideally should weigh about 50 pounds.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I'm Lane. I am a three year old girl who has enough energy to power the entire state of NC. I've been at my foster mom's since I was 11 weeks old. I'm really good in my crate during the day while foster mom is at work. I sleep in my crate at night as well. I also express my opinion when I'm crated and something else is happening in the house. I have strong FOMO! I may not look it, but my foster mom.had my DNA tested and I am Great Pyrenees, along with some staffie and some pittie and cattle dog. These long legs like to run lots of zoomies around the yard. They also help me jump like a kangaroo. A high fence may be necessary to contain my excitement. I would do best in an active household, with no small kids and no small animals. I do have a strong herding instinct. My foster mom had a cat that I really like to put in my mouth. I don't think the cat appreciated it very much. But I find it a lot of fun. I don't have to be the only dog in the household, but the other dog should probably be my size or a little larger and most likely a male dog. I seem to get along best with them. No girl drama! I can also be very protective of my stuff - food and toys especially. I don't like sharing them with other dogs. I am also the BEST guard dog - maybe a little too good. I want to alert you that you just let a stranger in the house and I have to go into protector mode. I am still learning that not everyone is trying to sell us solar panels and I don't need to be so mean sounding to foster mom's guests. If you are a dog savvy family that is willing to work with training and help me become the best dog ever, please put in an application. I would love to find my forever home. I am a goofball and I love sunbathing, getting belly rubs, swimming in ponds, playing tug, cuddling with my people, running around, watching the rain, and chasing squirrels. Everyone who meets me loves me!   I am crate, house, and leash trained. However, I am leash-reactive and should not be walked around other dogs or in a neighborhood. You should know that I am just tall enough to see what’s on your table and sneak a little snack off your plate if you look away! I am very smart but can be lazy. I know all basic commands plus some fun ones like catch, paw, hug, spin, and touch. I graduated from basic agility last year too!   After an amazing two years with my family, I became dog aggressive and the neighborhood setting with lots of other dogs that I live in is no longer suitable for me to live a happy life. Olivia and George arrived from a shelter partner in rough shape. It is obvious they had been on their own for a while, as they were really matted and had burrs in their beautiful white coats. We got them to the groomer right away and cleaned up and boy did they shine! Olivia, who is about 116 lbs is a bit quicker to warm up, but both dogs are really eager to please and be with some nice humans who will take care of them. Olivia is HW+ which will be treated by the rescue, and George, who is about 95lbs is neutered. They are both microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. They would love to be adopted together.
