Hey, Pippy here again. It's day 187 and the humans asked me to do another interview. They must think I'm famous or something, lol. Anywho, life isn't to bad here. I really love the humans that take care of me. So much so, that any new people freak me out!! Especially very small humans. They are so confusing, and fast, and LOUD! I met one once, and I was so scared, I started shaking. So I really hope that my future family doesn't have small humans. It takes me time to trust new people. So, please don't be offended if we're not friends right away. We will be, eventually, lol. One of my favorite things to do is play with my buddy Rusty. We play until it gets to hot outside. I don't like any of the girls here. They're snotty. At least I think they are, lol. But enough about them. My second favorite thing to do, is play in the water! I'm pretty sure I was made to be a lake baby!! The humans here gave me a pool. The first thing I would do is take a dip. Oh, what a wonderful feeling. When I can't swim, I like to dip my whole head into my water bucket outside. Feels so nice! But that's all for now. I sure do hope that someone has the patience to get to know me!

Story
Monkey is an a ex sled dog from Fairbanks, Alaska who I adopted from the shelter in 2018. He is likely a mix of Greyhound, Husky and German Shorthaired Pointer, which are ideal for short sled dog races - he is fast! I think he is about 10 now, but he still has lots of energy and no known health issues. We have been in OK 1 year. He is a social butterfly who loves to be the center of attention. He gets along well with people, dogs, and the few cats he has met. He loves to give hugs. He has a very strong prey drive and should not be trusted with small animals. He is very scared of bugs and roller blades. He loves to chase birds. He does great in the car. He does better on a harness than a leash, as he pulls hard for his 40 pounds. He hates being left alone and is getting very anxious when I leave and finding all kinds of ways to escape, even jumping my 6 foot fence and chewing through wooden fence slats. He does not do well in a crate or a tie out. He listens well.
