Story
Milkyway (A556414)Milkyway is one of the easiest dogs to walk—gentle, quiet, and never pulling on the leash. He moves with careful steps, a little uncertain but always willing to follow your lead. He’s not fearful of people, just a bit unsure of the world, and he takes comfort in having a calm, steady companion by his side.Once he settles in, his sweet side shines through. In the big play area, he sat on my feet and leaned in for pets, enjoying the quiet connection. He’s very food-motivated and shows some interest in toys, especially if they bounce, though he seems to enjoy the chase more than the fetch. If you’re looking for a gentle, soft-hearted companion who walks beautifully on a leash and just needs a little confidence, Milkyway is ready to find his home.Milkyway is available to all adopters!Animal Services Division3750 Brown Station RDUpper Marlboro, MD301-780-7200

Story
Bella is a sweet and loving girl. I adopted Bella when she was 2 months old from the spca, she is now 5. I was young when I got her and lived at home with family now, I’m in a new city, work full time as well as in school full time. Bella deserves a family that has time to take her on long walks, play with her, and love on her really good. Bella is a sensible dog, she definitely picks up on the emotions around her. She’s high energy and a bit silly haha, but in the sweetest way. She’s not so fond of other dogs, but isn’t aggressive. She typically just barks and she runs away (hence the silly I was talking about haha). She absolutely loves people, but hasn’t spent much time around kids. From the interactions I’ve seen though, she’s calm around them.
