Story
Meet Aurora! Aurora is as sweet as they come! She loves affection, gives the best kisses, and is always ready to be your loyal companion. She’s a smart girl who enjoys training—she already knows sit and down and is working on sit-stay, come, leave it, and heeling. She’s getting better at leash walking, especially when there’s a treat involved! She’s active and playful but also loves to relax by your feet. She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and knows the doggy door. Aurora is wonderful with children, gentle and kind, and gets along great with other dogs. She’s also a perfect passenger in the car! If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent, and well-mannered girl, Aurora is ready to be your new best friend! Come meet her at our Cove Lifesaving Center!

Story
Meet our sweet Shepherd mix, Koda! This loving boy is searching for his forever family. He's eager to please and learns quickly, already making great strides with basic commands. He thrives on structure and consistency, so a patient owner who will continue his training with positive reinforcement is ideal. Because he is still learning, we recommend a home without other pets for now. In his foster home, he’s shown gentle behavior around their child and loves playing with their dog. With a little time, patience, and a loving hand, this wonderful dog will blossom into a loyal and devoted companion.

Story
Alina is 7yrs old. I've had her since she was a pup. She still has her zoomies and is very active. She does come off as shy and skittish at first but when she warms up to you it's all love. She sheds a lot so I hope you can manage with that. She deserves a home she can run around outside and have her space. She is very protective toward her owner and toys. She deserves a warm loving home.

Story
Meet Einstein – The Genius of Love & Sass! 🧠🐾"Woof is merely a sound, but a howl? A howl is the language of the soul!" – Einstein (the dog, not the physicist... though I do share his brilliance).I am Einstein, a strikingly handsome Husky mix with a mind as sharp as my stunning good looks. My theories? Simple: Humans = Love, Other Dogs = No Thanks. I prefer to be the center of your universe, the one and only genius in your home—no other dogs, no cats, just you and me, unraveling the mysteries of belly rubs and treat distribution together. My vocal abilities are nothing short of groundbreaking—why bark when I can speak in full Husky conversations? I will tell you about my day, sing you the song of my people, and provide valuable insight on why you should give me another treat (purely for scientific research, of course).I may not solve the mysteries of the universe, but I can solve the mystery of who’s the best dog ever—it’s me. 🚀💡Are you ready to welcome a one-dog think tank of love and loyalty into your home? Adopt me, and let’s make history together. 🐕❤️#AdoptEinstein #BrilliantlyLoyal #OneDogToRuleThemAll #NoCatsNoDogsJustLove

Story
Meet Larry! Larry is a gorgeous boy with one brown and one blue eye. He is stunning in person no photographs can capture. A beautiful blend of exoticness, with a gorgeous coat of dark and light color. He is estimated at a year and a half old, 55 pounds. Larry is learning about a whole new world coming from being outside all the time. He is good around people, other dogs. Larry loves to run and play with his fur foster siblings and he gets along great with them all. He does have energy, but he gets to the point where he plays for a period and then calms and enjoys laying around unless his curiosity is aroused by something interesting. He does like toys, and he gets excited when he sees rabbits in the yard. He does not like the sound of gunfire in the country or fireworks. It scares him, so definitely needs to be safe during those seasons. Larry, we believe has only road in the car for his vet visits so it's not he is familiar with, but learning among other things. Larry would love a life where he would get more attention and love from his humans. He has been great around adults. We have not gotten him around any kids thus far, so older teens would be best. He is not mean at all. He is timid and shy for the most part and does need time to warm up around new people. He does love to play if he feels safe. We believe Larry would be fine as the only dog with getting all the attention or with another dog compatible with him in age and energy. Larry does fine in a crate for a short period, but would prefer a stay-at-home family member and a large fenced in yard he could pal around in. He will bark at a stranger when approached but only to get their attention. He is friendly with everyone he has been around thus far and only barks at the appropriate times. Larry has no strange or silly behaviors; all in all, he is just a good boy who wants all the love he can get. He is a healthy thriving boy. He is very food motivated. He will sit for a treat. That is the only command we have taught him thus far. He will walk on a leash if needed but he is perfectly content in the backyard. He would require leash and obedience training. He is friendly and does not jump on you but wants to be close to you. He does not bark unless he has a reason. The perfect family for Larry would be a gentle family who wants to give him patience, lots of love with or without older kids that are not too hyper. A home with a fenced-in yard he can enjoy. To adopt Larry go to our website to complete our pre-adoption application https://www.southernskiesrescue.org/adoption-application Larry has been neutered, up-to-date and will be microchipped.
