I love pets, big snow drifts, and zooming around the yard! I`ve loved every staff member and volunteer I`ve met at the shelter, and I`m sure I`ll love you too!If interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website by following https://www.ark-valley.org/adoption-matchmaker-application/. We recommend calling the shelter at 719-395-2737 after you submit your application to ensure that we have received it. You can also give us a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more about a specific animal. Walk-ins are welcome during our open hours Monday-Saturday 12-5pm, although an adoptable animal may be in a foster home instead of at the shelter, so we also recommend calling us prior to driving to the shelter to confirm the pet`s current location. If you prefer emailing instead, you can reach our staff at to info@ark-valley.org, however, time sensitive matters would be addressed quicker via phone.Note: We do not DNA test our animals to determine breeds. The listed breed(s) are either an educated guess from staff based on physical characteristics, or from information given by their previous home.

Story
This is the smartest most amazing dog I have ever owned. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I am moving overseas and cannot take him. He is 3 years old, has been well loved! He is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He loves all animals and people, he is very gentle and was good with my 90 year old grandmother as well as my new born grand daughter. He lets 3 pound yorkies play on his back and finds a way to make himself small enough to play with them. He cuddles on the couch and says "I Love You" he blames everything on someone called 'EYE-RA' and he brings joy to every single day! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me find him a loving home.
