Story
Hello, My name is Cocoa. I came to the shelter after my owners could no longer care for me. I absolutely love to play! I enjoy hanging out with my dog friends and playing ball! Once I calm down I love belly rubs, and I love to cuddle! Cats are no problem for me as long as they are nice to me. I would also enjoy a house with kids because I'm still a puppy and love to run and have fun!

Story
Oh Hey!! I'm Rain. I came to the shelter as a stray and no one came to get me. When I first came in I was very scared, but I have really come out of my shell. I am very energetic and love to play fetch and tug a war. I would love to have a new family that has a lot of energy and maybe another dog to play with, just no cats for me.

Story
Hi, meet Zara! My fiancé and I got Zara in January! She’s a great dog, but unfortunately we don’t have a lot of room for her in our apartment. She would thrive in a home that has a yard and with a family that is active! She is so sweet, and always excited to see us when we get home. Loves treats!

Story
Meet Clover – From Stray to Beloved Companion   Clover is a one-year-old, 35-pound Siberian Husky mix with an abundance of puppy energy and an even bigger heart. This affectionate boy adores cuddles and is always ready for love! He gets along well with other dogs and is currently thriving in a foster home with large-breed dogs and cats of various ages. While he does live with cats, he has a prey drive, so he does best with confident, playful kittens rather than older, reserved cats—the more outgoing the cat, the better their relationship, as it helps limit chasing behavior. My journey with Clover began when I found myself wrapped up in saving a husky puppy on a busy street. I discovered him dashing through traffic and immediately stopped to help. Determined to find his owner, I went door-to-door in the area and spoke with local workers like the pest control technician and the mail carrier. They recalled seeing him tied to a rope every day and mentioned that he appeared to be mistreated. I followed their lead and located a man claiming to be his owner—but he had no paperwork, photos, or records to prove it. Not wanting to risk any legal trouble, I reluctantly returned Clover to him. The very next day, Clover got loose again. A friend, who had just moved into the neighborhood on the day I rescued him, found him and took him back to the owner’s house. Despite her numerous calls and visits, the owner never responded—his gate remained closed, adorned with clear no-trespassing signs. I reached out again via text, asking the supposed owner to surrender Clover so I could retrieve him without an arduous drive. With no records, no microchip, and not even neutered, his future was uncertain. I even contacted the local shelter, which sadly has a euthanasia list, meaning that if I brought him in, he might face being put to sleep. After days without a response, it became clear that Clover was meant for a better life. We later learned he had been seen roaming since Valentine’s Day—and, lucky enough to have escaped danger, we named him Clover. Safe in foster care for nearly one year now, we expected this cutie would be adopted quickly. Clover comes with his AirTag and a special collar that holds it securely, along with all his favorite toys he simply cannot live without. He’s flourishing in his current home, where he’s already house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoying every moment of his second chance at life. He’s fantastic with children, responds well to treat-based training, and loves a good car ride or a brisk walk on a leash. Clover thrives on interaction and would do best in a home with an active family that can provide him with a secure, fenced-in yard (minimum 6 feet) and plenty of opportunities for play and exercise. Puppy classes would be a great addition, and another large, playful dog might be an ideal companion for him. If you’re in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe your family is the perfect match for Clover, please consider adopting him. To help cover his neutering and vaccinations, donations toward his care are also greatly appreciated. Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Clover is the sweetest husky mix boy. He is 1 1/2 year old, weighs 35 lbs. and has tons of puppy energy. Clover is so loving and is obsessed with cuddling! He is good with other dogs and is currently being fostered in a home with large breed dogs and various-age foster cats. Although he does live with cats, he does have a prey drive. Understanding that he is still a young dog, he does better with the younger teenage playful kittens versus the older adults. The more outgoing the cat, the better the relationship he can have with them as it will limit the chasing. He does great around children as well. He is learning basic commands and responds well to treats training. Clover is housebroken and crate trained. Being that he is still young, providing him with ample puppy toys, and safe chew toys is a must. He loves flavored bones and squeaky toys, which he is very good about not shredding. He is great on a leash and in the car. We are requiring a secure minimum 6-ft. fenced-in yard for him. He will need supervision in the beginning whenever he is outside, since it will be a new place and he won't know it is his home. Clover is medium energy, loves to play, and will thrive in a home with an active-lifestyle family who can include him in outdoor activities and will provide him with structure and enrichment toys. He will benefit from obedience classes as well. Another large playful dog in the home would help him with his socialization and need for play. Huskies are generally intelligent, loyal and loving companions, but they are not a breed that can be left alone all day. Overall, Clover is the best pupy and will make a wonderful addition to the right family. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and think you are a perfect match for Clover, please complete an app and tell us more about your family. March 13, 2025, 9:34 pm

Story
Luna is a wonderful husky with a curious personality. My brother found her in Jacksonville, FL; she had been abandoned by a neighbor of his. She was neglected and extremely dehydrated. It didn’t look like they had been feeding her. But despite all of that Luna was the happiest dog, eager for love and affection when she was found. We accepted her as a foster dog and have been looking for a loving home for her. We have an older German Shepherd that she gets along with well. She is extremely playful and loves to run around and cuddle. We also have a newborn baby and she is wonderful around her, never getting in her space or paying any mind to her cries. Luna is very food driven which is great for training but you do have to be vigilant about any food out on counters. We have been working on training her; as of now she: - does not bark like crazy (unless scared and alone) - is kennel trained - good on the leash (just very excited) - knows sit, down, no, and stay
