Story
Ace was unintentionally born into a small family home in Hialeah. His original owners fed him chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and beans for meals, making Ace really strong and healthy. He’s a great dog. Not as loud or rowdy as other huskys Unfortunately Ace needs a home with a yard. Ace prefers to use the bathroom indoors. It’s difficult for us to train him while living in an apartment so he definitely needs a home with a yard to help him.

Story
'Courtesy' Sweet and loving Husky boy, affectionately referred to as Dimitri is looking for a forever home. This big boy is under one years old and is very energetic and loving. He is currently in a home with a small child and has been observed to do great with the child and other dogs. Dimitri has a calm demeanor indoors with people, but requires lots of stimulation and physical activity as per his breed’s requirements and age. He will do great in a pack, and/or with physically active owner(s). He has not yet been crate trained, and may need to be observed alone as he has been both great alone indoors and at times troublesome. This is all dependent on his mental stimulation and physical activity. It is recommended for first time Husky owners to research the breed as they are very special dogs. Highly intelligent and stubborn but one of the most incredible breeds. Dimitri should be adopted into a family that will nurture him, provide him with a yard and a doggy bed indoors to avoid the Florida heat that can be detrimental on the Husky breed. Dimitri is a chaser so families with cats must be cautious. He is young enough to train and redirect but he will pursue a cat and small animals and insects. It is recommended to ease him in and to dedicate the time needed to redirect that behavior. He does love to play fetch and will fetch balls, sticks and even frisbees. He enjoys running and playing and will adjust well with any dog breed. Because of his size and age it would be best that he be mixed with medium and larger sized dogs to avoid any rough play accidents. He is a useless guard dog (haha) and will only seldomly howl and he will “Husky talk” to you often. Currently Dimitri is unaltered but will be neutered prior to adoption.   August 18, 2024, 2:23 pm

Story
Hello everyone! It saddens me that I am in a position to rehome Chumi. I am having to downsize and my mom is allergic to dogs. Chumi is such an amazing husky and she is trained on basic commands; sit, stay, come here, down, etc. She is almost 11 months old. Birthday: 26 Sep 2023 She is a dog that needs a lot of exercise as she has a high energy drive! Chumi gets along well with other dogs and I believe she prefers that. She definitely needs a backyard to freely roam and run around. She IS NOT an apartment puppy. Lol I love her with everything in me but unfortunately I do not have the capacity to give her what she needs since I will be moving in with my ill mother. I have a nice big cage, food, toys, and beds that will come with her as well. She is up to date on all vaccinations and I recently got her spayed 2-3 weeks ago.

Story
Austin, a three-year-old husky mix, was rescued from a neglectful environment. Austin has a sweet and affectionate nature with a very silly goofy side. He needs a kind home that will work with him to restore his trust in humans again and he loves to give hugs! Austin currently weighs 35lbs, but he needs to gain about 5-10lbs. Austin learned the sit command in under three minutes so he is very smart and enjoys learning, which is good because we are training him to feel safe with people around his food and toys. A home without kids or other dogs is best for now as he learn to trust again. If you are interested in adopting Austin, please fill out an adoption application at:https://abandonedpetrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Story
Hi everyone I'm Martini, former member of the Cocktail pups. I got too big and strong for my previous owner and unfortunately had to return me. I am the sweetest Shepsky mix that just celebrated her 1st Birthday last month. I have tons of energy and enjoy my walks to let off some steam. I get along great with other dogs but not particularly fond of sharing my toys. My foster siblings are teaching me that it's ok to share. I don't like cats because they're mean to me. I know a few commands, so I'm very smart and learn fast. I love hugs and kisses, but my favorite thing is getting belly rubs. If you let me, I will snuggle with you on the couch or I will always be right next to you to keep your feet warm. I am fully crate and potty trained and would prefer to live in a child free home. Can't wait to meet you Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!

Story
Rambo is over 1 year old and a neighbor gave it to my parents when he was a puppy. Now that he's grown to a large dog, he's too big and playful for them because they are elderly and can't manage him. We're afraid of them getting hurt. He weighs 71 lbs and is the size of a German Shepard. He's good with other dogs but needs a home with a large yard to run around. He's very friendly and will jump on you so please be aware that he's large and heavy. Indoors, he's calm and potty trained. He's not caged and is calm indoors but gets excited when someone comes over. Please contact us if you think you may have a good home for him.
