Story
Astrid is a sweet, beautiful, three year old Canaan/ Lab blend. Looking into her beautiful blue and brown eyes will steal your heart. A medium size dog that has grown into her paws and will not get larger. Looking for a dog that loves people, enjoys running / playing in the yard. A bit shy when she first meets, however should be trusting in a few days. Super friendly and becomes a loyal and attached family member.. . She would make a wonderful addition to an active family. She loves playing in our pond at the shelter, playing fetch, and all the hugs you can give. If you are looking for a perfect loyal companion, Astrid is your girl! A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, however a committed and devoted family with no fence would be considered. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Blizzard, a brave and resilient boy with an incredible story of survival and recovery. Blizzard was found by animal control after being shot in the arm. When we saw him on the shelter's page, we knew we had to help him! We took Blizzard to an orthopedic specialist in North Alabama, who confirmed they could repair his shattered humerus. Using an external fixation device, the vet skillfully pieced his arm back together. Blizzard showed remarkable strength and determination throughout his recovery and now has no hardware left in his arm. While he will need physical therapy and possibly hydrotherapy in the future after the internal rod is potentially removed, Blizzard's spirit remains unbroken. Despite all he has been through, Blizzard is the sweetest boy ever and a joy to engage with. His affectionate nature and friendly personality make him a wonderful companion. Blizzard is ready to find his forever home, where he can continue to heal and receive the love he truly deserves. Adopt Blizzard and be a part of his amazing journey to a happy, healthy life.

Story
Meet Prince – Your Loyal and Adventurous Companion Prince is a stunning 3-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart as big as his beautiful coat. This resilient boy was found as a stray, already neutered and microchipped, but sadly, his owner never came forward. When rescued, Prince’s fur was so severely matted that it required removal under anesthesia, revealing painful sores underneath. Now fully healed, Prince is ready to leave his past behind and find the loving forever home he deserves. True to his breed, Prince is a spirited and adventurous pup who loves to explore. While he enjoys outdoor time, his ability to climb fences means he needs a home with supervised outdoor activities or a family committed to taking him on walks and adventures. He rides like a dream in the car, making him a perfect partner for road trips or weekend getaways. Indoors, Prince is an affectionate and loving companion who adores snuggling up with his people. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great addition to a home with canine siblings. Though he’s still working on his potty training, Prince is eager to please and will thrive with consistency and patience. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and adventurous friend who will shower you with affection, Prince might just be the perfect match. With his resilient spirit and loving nature, he’s ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, care, and endless adventures. Could Prince be the missing piece of your family? Prince is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported out of state. Adoption fee is $250 in Texas, $600 out of state to cover the health certificate and transport costs.
