Story
Finn is about a year old. He’s housebroken and very well cared for. We have a timid older cat who can’t handle Finn’s energy. He’s good on a leash, in a car… not so great on a kayak. He loves water and pig ears. I know the website says he has to be neutered within 30 days, but I don’t care if you don’t. He’s past the age where neutering can be done without health risks.

Story
Meet BOLT - Paws Behind Bars Trained BOLT is a 5-year-old male, Husky mix who weighs 45 lbs. And yes, he has one brown eye and one blue eye. Bolt's temperament is excellent! He's fun and he's active. His energy was always looking for a job to do so he was the perfect dog for our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, he's received obedience training and the proper amount of exercise (a critical consideration for anyone interested in Huskies). We are also getting a much better glimpse of his personality. These dogs live with their inmate 24/7. The one-on-one attention goes a long way to helping us tell the adopter just what to expect. Bolt is just graduating from the program and is available for adoption now. Our adoption process begins with submission of OUR application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there, too. Thank you!

Story
Clover is a 3 year old female, terrier/husky mix that weighs 47 lbs. She was picked up as a stray so we don't much of a background. What we do know is she is very outgoing and affectionate. Her overall condition and health are good so she had to have had a home. We started on the leash and but the real place to polish those skills, plus basic obedience, is our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. She is currently enrolled and under the guidance of her very own inmate. She lives with him 24/7 and will stay for another 5-6 weeks. By then, we'll know everything there is to know about Clover and will enable us to find the perfect "fit" family for her. Up close and in person, she is gorgeous. She's got crystal blue eyes to go with that diluted brindle coat. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. To find this, please visit Clover on our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Click on her picture and you'll find the application there. Additional adoption FAQ's can also be found there. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
Still looking for a home as 8/12/24 We adopted Koda when he was 8 weeks old and straight away knew he was just the sweetest boy. Koda has been here with us through so many big things. Five moves, three human additions, tons of life changes and so much more. He loves everybody and is incredibly energetic. He’s the best family dog, playing fetch with the kids is one of his favorite things to do. I hate to be having to post this as he’s the best buddy. Unfortunately we’re moving to a place that has huskies listed in the “no” list for renters as “aggressive breeds”, Koda is the furthest thing from aggressive, he’s a giant teddy bear. I just want someone to be able to love him and give him a really happy life despite having to make this very hard transition. He’s got that talkative husky trait, always has something to say! He loves running and fetch. He loves cuddling and treats. His favorite thing to do is lay at your feet at the end of the day.

Story
Hi! This is my beautiful Korra. I've had her for the past 4/5 months. she's been nothing but a lovable fur child. I adopted her since she was a baby. Due to unseen circumstances with work I won't be able to give her much of my time. She's house broken so she will hold her pee and poop for as long as she can until she can get outside. About her: She's very energetic, even after long walks she'll nap for 10 minutes and she's ready for another round. Loves attention; she will do anything possible to get your attention. LOVES belly rubs. The first thing she wants when I get home is for me to rub her belly. Loves to play fetch although after the 4th throw she'll make you grab it. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a family that will take her in and treat her like family. A family that has the time, energy, and space for her to roam around. Mainly a family that understands how much maintenance a husky will need.

Story
I got hopper from a previous relationship. Being in school full time and working, I did not have the necessary time for hopper. Now I am moving into a complex that does not accept husky’s. I have a cat; hopper is unable to gently play with cats, he doesn’t understand. He is a quick learner and already is slightly trained. He is so playful and you will understand why he is named “hopper”. He needs lots of attention and daily work to keep him entertained and help with his high energy. He is a husky so he is very vocal. He is loving and will always want to be in your business. He can be timid with new people but after a warm up, he is fine. Great with other dogs! He loves having play dates with dogs and loves running. Has capability of being off leash trained. I want him to go to a loving home with the space he needs and attention he needs. I have had him since he was a baby and have loved him so deeply, I am heart broken to no longer have him. He has so much love to bring into your home!
