She is the popular dog in the neighborhood. She runs the fence line with all the other dogs and kids just love her. Leena is looking for someone who wants to play fetch with a tennis ball and go on long walks with her. She is gentle and playful and so cute. She is still puppy-like and still a Husky so watch where you put your slippers or you might see one mysteriously appear in the backyard. :) I'm excited for more adoption apps to come in for this girly. She is so sweet! Foster Feedback 4/3/24: Lena is an adorable Labrador/Siberian Husky hybrid. She is the perfect combination of an intelligent and loyal lab with the endurance, strength, and playfulness of a husky - you cannot take a walk without someone commenting on her beautiful blue eyes! She has typical husky traits of wanting to pull like a sled-dog on the leash, but with some practice she is getting really good on walks. Leena will love it if her new family has a fenced in backyard so she can run and play fetch. She is so curious and likes meeting new dogs. She doesn’t bark much but uses her "Husky Voice" to tell you she is hungry, looking for attention, or just needs a walk. Leena is a bit like a toddler in that she will get overtired and need to settle down with a calm environment. Scratching her under the chin and on the belly puts her right to sleep. She sleeps well in the kennel but likes to curl up at the foot of the bed and will sleep 10 hours, easy! She loves car rides and is not anxious about being in a new environment.   Are you ready for non-stop adventure? If you love beautiful Husky dogs and loyal Labs, do not wait to fill out your application to adopt little Leena. She is an amazing, smart, and loveable dog. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org August 19, 2024, 10:55 pm

He is working on not jumping up on people and only chewing puppy toys. He’s doing great so far but it will take time.  Slush is potty trained, quiet in his kennel all night, ignores our cats and is fine with our kids. He is also great on walks. He doesn’t pull unless he sees a rabbit, but he redirects quickly and is back on track. He is such a sweet boy, LOVES to play with our other foster and has the softest fur ever (you won’t want to stop giving him all the pets)! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org August 19, 2024, 10:55 pm

She is the sweetest girl, can be a little shy at times, but loves to snuggle and bury her head into you. When you find the right spot to scratch just behind her ears, her hind legs starts going crazy and her smile is a mile wide. Bowbwa’s potty training is coming along nicely. We have had very few accidents since she has been in my home and has started going to the door when she needs to go out. Crate training is an ongoing process and will continue to need work. She will whine when I put her in there but will calm down quickly. When she knows I am about to leave and starts to get anxious, I try to spend a couple minutes petting her and talking to her and this seems to help when I have to put her in the crate. Bowbwa is great around children and loves all people in general. She gets very excited when she sees dogs, but can be shy when she meets them up close. She doesn’t pull much while on walks except when she wants to meet and greet the neighborhood rabbits and squirrels. If I don’t give her the opportunity to chase, she will just stop for a second and stare before continuing on with the walk. Although Bowbwa is 10-months-old, she can still act like a puppy when seeing things for the first time. I have a crate of toys that she did not touch for the longest time. The squeaky toys scared her at first and she had no idea what to do with a ball other than smell it. Through watching my dog interact with the toys she is slowly learning how to play and it has been so much fun to see her experiencing all the new things life has to offer her. Bowbwa would do great in a home with other dogs or in a home where she is the only dog. She has so much love to give and thrives on human interaction. Bowbwa will require a little bit of patience and training, you will never regret the decision to bring this little ball of love into your home.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org August 19, 2024, 10:55 pm
