Story
Honey Man is a very silly, loving, sweet boy. He loves to play. He will also talk back lol. He has a great personality. He is good with kids. He has never been around cats before. He gets along with other dogs. He gets along better with females versus males. He has not been neutered. He is not up to date on shots. He is house trained. Things have been pretty hard financially and it has become hard to keep up with his basic needs. I will be moving soon and will not be able to take him with me. He's a very sweet boy and deserves a very loving home.

Story
Remmy, the dashing red dilute husky dude, is around 2 years old, weighing in at a sleek 50 to 60 pounds. He's currently perfecting his leash swagger and is a total sweetheart with his caretaker. This charming fella is neutered, up to date on all his shots, protected from fleas/ticks and heartworms, and even flaunts his own microchip for that VIP treatment. He's a people-loving pup and we're slowly introducing him to other furry friends - some become instant buddies, while others don't quite make the cut. One thing's for sure, cats are a no-go for Remmy! – he's not on Team Kitty! If you're smitten by this ball of fur, hop on over to www.pawsandprayers.org to fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $250. Got any questions? Shoot an email to marty@pawsandprayers.org. Professional Photos (1-3) Donated by Desiree Dube Photography    August 20, 2024, 7:29 am

Story
Navajo ….. this boy is near perfect. No Husky drama. No talking back. He is so easy going. Whatever you throw at him, he just rolls with it. Navajo is a fun, playful, silly boy. He LOVES to be fussed over. He literally eats up all the attention and keeps coming back for more. He is an expert at working the room for pets and ‘ooh what a good boy’s :) :) :) Sometimes, he jumps up so he is up close and personal with you :) He is a level 5 out of 5 for friendliness, sweetness, and affectionateness :) We try to mediate affection time as Navajo can get over stimulated quickly and when he does, he belts out a soft growl and goes for little lovebites. Navajo’s love for life is the same with dogs. He loves every dog. Navajo is 3 years old, 50lb. He is looking for a family who doesn’t mind a little husky fur on their furniture, include him in family adventures and activities and lots of love and cuddles.

WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Zoe. I'm about 11 years old and I weigh about 45 lbs. I was brought into the pound as a stray and I was immediately recognized as a dog that had just been here at the pound not long before making my way back in. When I was here before, I had been here with another dog. When we were claimed, they young man adopted us back but I actually belonged to his parents and the other dog belonged to him. Apparently him getting us back from the pound upset his parents and they kicked him out over it. He found a safe place to keep his dog Karma, but had to leave him behind since we were not his and he really didn't have a place for us to go. He also found out my friend Boo was here, so at least I get to share a kennel with a friend here again this stay. I'm an old girl and really hoping I get to find a loving new family that will love me during my remaining senior years. I am a very good, sweet girl. I love people and I get along well with other dogs. I keep my kennel clean aside from "old lady accidents" because I can't hold it as long as I used to. My friend Boo and I do not need to be adopted together, but we do get along great, and would be a good pair for someone looking to adopt 2 dogs. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Ziva. I'm about 1 year old and I currently weigh about 50 lbs. I came into the pound with my best friend Marley, through no fault of our own after some complaints were made to the pound over concerns of her health. I am an extremely sweet and very loving girl. I am still young, playful and very energetic and would do well with a family that can spend some time working with me on my training. I do a fairly good job of keeping my kennel clean, but may need a little more work with potty training once I am in a home. I get along well with other dogs and I love to play.
