Story
Daisy was found at 4:00 am Wednesday 2/7/2024 along bucket line road in Boggs twp Clearfield County. She was found laying along a dirt road. Finders contacted us due to her having an injured back left leg. She was taken to the Allegany Spay And Neuter clinic for an X-ray that confirmed a broken femur. She was then taken to Metzger animal hospital for an exam an pain meds. Surgery is scheduled for 2/12/2024. Then she will be taken to a foster to adopt home. Police were notified and now as an owner has not come fwd and after the injury she sustained this is an open police investigation for animal cruelty with the woodland state police.  ##1961718##

After being spotted wandering around by himself, this handsome fella was brought to the rescue. Because his owners were never found, he is now available for adoption. Cinco is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and appears to be housebroken. He is believed to be a Husky/Beagle mix and is approximately 5 years old. Cinco enjoys walks, playing outside, and getting lots of love from volunteers. Cinco is a sweetheart, but he hates going back into his kennel and isn’t shy about letting us know. Cinco is looking for a home where he can be free to roam & not have to be crated when family is away and with no young children due to his strong-willed personality. Oftentimes, inappropriate behaviors, such as Cinco’s temper tantrums when returning to his kennel, diminish once a dog is settled in a home. Other than this quirk, he is a happy, loving pup that is ready to be someone’s loyal companion. Cinco is probably the most affectionate dog currently under our care. He absolutely loves giving kisses, getting attention, and making people smile. Della, an approximately 1 year old, female Husky /Shepherd mix was surrendered to the rescue when owner was unable to keep her in his apartment any longer. Owner who had only had Della for 3 months reported she was house trained and knew the command "sit". It was only he & Della that lived in the apartment and when he had to leave she had a seperate room she would stay in till his return. Della is looking for a home where she can be free to roam & not have to be crated when family is away and with no young children due to her resouce guarding issues & strong-willed personality. Oftentimes, inappropriate behaviors, such as Della's temper tantrums when returning to her kennel, diminish once a dog is settled in a home. Della is an active, intelligent girl looking for a family that will prioritize training ( especially regarding resource issues), physical exercise, mental stimulation along with her general daily needs.
