Story
Hi I'm Hail! I was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and am looking for a family to love me. I have a lot of energy and love to go explore with my foster family. I am exhibit typical husky behavior and will talk to you all day. I have been a bit of an escape artist but I have definitely calmed down after being here for a while. Foster mom says she would really like me to be with a family that does lots of hiking/camping or has a really big yard with a good fence and lots of time to spend with me. I love to play fetch and chase but also enjoy a snuggle or settling in with a stuffed kong!

Story
Maverick is a six year old dog who also goes by Mavs. He is a sweet boy that needs lots of attention; hes a very anxious and nervous dog which is why Im looking for a home that will provide lots of attention and care. Hes a sleeper, loves taking naps and enjoys the winter time breeze. I got Maverick in 2019 when he was 8 weeks old, he went to doggy classes, is potty trained and knows basic commands like sit, give me paw, lay down and go inside (kennel). When COVID-19 hit I think that the isolation of not being around other dogs and socializing made him very anxious to go on car-rides and dog walks. That is something we struggle with him today, sometimes I think he needs a friend. He got along with my brothers 2 month old pitbull and my friends 3 month winny dog so its safe to say that he enjoys playing a lot with smaller puppies. Another fact is that hes an escape artist and digs like crazy if left unattended for too long. Thats his husky side i'm thinking.

Story
Saint - Husky - Male - 2 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Saint: This GORGEOUS Siberian Husky is about 2 yrs old and has already been through a lot. He was found stray, contracted Parvo, got very sick, beat Parvo and is now healthy, fully vetted and ready for his furever home. Saint is crate and house trained, rides well in the car, LOVE bike rides and leash walks. He gets along well with other dogs, and does well in social settings, like meeting new human and fur friends at Starbucks or such. He loves cuddling on the couch and goes a little nuts for Ice Cream, like he LOVES ice cream . If he sees you eating a strawberry yogurt bar, he wants to share licks. That said, Saint is not quite the Saint his name implies (name comes from the Fleur-de-lis on his head, not his behavior),  as he does have a pretty high prey drive and some resource guarding tendencies  - he likely had to compete for food while he was a stray, so we can't "blame" him. He likes to eat his meals in the privacy of his crate ( he has an XXL crate at his foster and overall respects his bedding and does not tear it up) and he loves to chew on bones, also in his crate as he will guard those. Like any good functioning Husky he can be vocal. Especially when he wants or needs something, like when he needs to go potty, he is quite intense.  He’s not kidding, he needs to go handle his business. So far never an accident. The boy can hold it, but don’t ignore the ask too long Saint is looking for a home with large breed experience, Ideally … experienced Husky person that can handle the kinks and embraces the typical Husky behavior, including the stubborn ("I heard you but I'm not reacting"), the vocal ("Must-pee-NOW") and the Hair. Quite a bit of Hair. Luckily he does not mind brushing. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***

Story
Dakota is a good protector, he is food aggressive, he loves female owners, and does try to be the Alfa male when it comes to men. He is fine a around children too a minimum. When he is a around children and a group of people he gets anxiety and grumpy. He gets along with cats but thinks they are a toy, he does not care for small breed dogs cause they have a habit of jumping on him, and biting him in his face. He gets along with large breeds great, especially females. Dakota loves to go on car rides. He loves Cheetos, French fries, any kind of fish, all vegetables, and fruits, except for bananas. Dakota cannot eat pineapple cause it naturally makes dogs sick.
