Story
Meet the most fabulous tripod! Hello there! My name is Matilda, and I'm a resilient 3-year-old, 14-pound spayed female terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that can't be held back. I may be a tripod, but trust me, I've got more love and zest for life than you can imagine. I had a rough start, found in TJ walking on my hind legs due to unbearable pain in my front legs. Thanks to the care and love of my rescuers, I'm now on the road to recovery. I have a bone fungal infection that requires ongoing medical attention, and I visit the Vet Specialist regularly. Don't worry, it's not contagious, and I'm on top of my medications – Terbinafine ~$15.00 for a month's supply, Voriconazole ~$115.00 for 1 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased. Dasuquin to support joint mobility ~$41.00 for 3 months supply depending on market value and where purchased-- all to keep me happy, healthy, and moving. I am fully bathroom and leash trained. Now, let me tell you a bit about my wonderful personality. I am dog that loves people, and does not love other dogs or cats. I want to be the shining star! I'm what they call a Velcro dog – I'll follow you everywhere, matching your energy whether you're in the mood for play or relaxation. I do have some anxieties, especially around new people and animals, so patience is key. Loud trucks and pushy pets aren't my favorite, and I prefer to have my humans' love all to myself. Despite my initial reservations, once I know you, I'm the ultimate companion, ready to be by your side 24/7. I'm pretty easygoing, enjoying lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, and playing with my toys by myself. I'd thrive in a quiet home with my own space, as an only dog. In essence, I'm a gem of a dog, and I'm looking for a loving family to share my life with. If you're ready for a dog who will shower you with love and bring endless joy into your home, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, you won't regret it! If you work from home, that's even better – I need a potty break every 4ish hours. I'm okay being alone for about 4 hours, either crated or uncrated, but I do like to get my morning zoomies out and play with my stuffed animals. I should be in a home with children 10 years and older only. If you're interested in making me a part of your family, please reach out right away! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ Follow me on IG @tapinwithMatilda ##1765244##

Story
It will be all oh-kai! Hi there! My name is Kai, and I’m a 4-year-old, 43-pound spayed Terrier mix. I was scooped up in Rosario, Mexico, where I was found underweight and living on the streets. I’ve come a long way since then and am ready to find my furever home! I’m a total sweetheart once you’ve earned my trust. I’ll then be your best friend and will be excited every time we see each other! I’m a high-energy gal, and I enjoy being your running buddy on runs through the neighborhood. My other favorite activities include chasing my Chuckit! ball, eating, playing tug-o-war, and sniffing for treats. I’m now fully potty-trained and crate-trained. Leash training is a work in progress, though, since I tend to pull a lot. My biggest challenge, however, is my stranger danger. I tend to become anxious and on high alert once I get outside of my comfort zone. No separation anxiety here, though, especially when I’m left behind with another doggie friend to play with. My ideal household would be a quieter home that had familiar people coming in and out. I’d love a nice backyard to play in, and I’d do just fine as either the only dog or with a well-rounded, confident doggie sibling. No kitties or children, please.  Other than that, a lot of patience and love will help me become my best self! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1143469##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bowser Bo AKA 'Whiskey' is a 3yr old Jack Russell/Parson Russell Terrier Mix weighing in at approx 25-30lbs. Whiskey originally came to us a relinquish from the Humane Society a couple of years ago and sweet boy was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, his adopter is moving out of state for work and cannot find accommodation that will allow him to bring his dogs so we are looking for a new home for him. As a JR Terrier Mix, Whiskey is a smart, fun loving boy, who is good with other dogs and loves to swim and go for rides with his owner. He can be a little reactive when on leash and does warning bark when strangers come to the door. Whiskey is looking for an active home, with owners who are looking for his breed's temperament and intelligence. Whiskey is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you're interested in meeting this little guy head over to his bio page on our website www.nwtlb.org and click the 'ADOPT ME' button.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    March 1, 2025, 1:34 pm

Story
At first glance, Jax may seem a little nervous and even a bit shy, but spend a little time with this handsome guy, and you'll discover a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. Jax is a smart boy who knows his surroundings and the people around him. He needs time and space to feel comfortable and confident in a new environment, but once he feels safe, his affectionate side emerges, and he'll be your best friend. He absolutely loves other dogs and would do amazing in a house with another furry friend. Watching other dogs teaches him so much, which will help the desensitization process of the home environment immensely. He will be dragging a leash until you can interact with him comfortably and will need a crate to keep a structured schedule. Once he settles in, though, he loves to lounge in the sun and cuddle at your feet! With his smarts, loyalty, and adorable nervousness, Jax will melt your heart and fill your home with love. If you can give Jax the love and care he needs, please meet him today! Give him a chance, and you will not regret it!

COURTESY POST - WE ARE COURTESY POSTING TO HELP FIND SPOC A FOREVER HOME Spoc was saved from a local shelter. He is not in need of a foster or loving forever home. I LOVE to go on walks. Will you take me? Twice a day, please, for at least 30 minutes each time. At around 7 years old and 20 pounds, I am potty trained, good with other dogs, use the doggie door, and am crate trained. My cutest feature? It’s when my lip gets shtuck on my gums, whish is almosht all the time thince my teeth are gone. I have bonded well to my Foster Mom and I let her touch me any time, but it took months for me to feel safe with her. I need someone who has a quiet home and is patient with me so I can come out of my shell and be your best friend and learn that there ARE good humans out there! I've heard that there is nothing better than having a dog like me and watching them bloom into a happy dog. I want to be that happy dog - will you help me? Please? I was found in pretty bad shape, terrified and very afraid of any humans. Will you be my hero? Fill out an application today! Then you need to meet Annie!Annie was rescued off the streets of Baja and is a typical baja mutt. We don't know her breed but she resembles a terrier mix. She is a young dog in the 1-2 year old range who was rescued off the streets when she was noticed with a severely injured eye and pregnant roaming the streets scared. She was safely rescued and taken to the vet clinic where the veterinarian determined the eye had to be enucleated and spayed. Annie is now in San Diego and we have learned she is a loving dog who needs a gentle loving calm home. She can be terrified of new things at first and does NOT do well with loud noises especailly rough yelling humans, she needs postive talk and even baby talk will win her over and approach for lots of loving. She is a very gentle social young dog who easily appproaches humans for loving  but she needs to feel comfortable first, baby talk is the way to Annies heart....as well as FOOD! She goes crazy for food even carrots! Annie is a pretty quiet and easy going dog but LOVES to play and rump around with dog friends, once she burns some energy playing around she is calm most of the day loving to hoard her toys and sun bathe. She is crate trained and has not had accidents in the home while having access to the yard, She spent a weekend with a volunteer in an apartment and did well as well, this is what her weekend stay over volunteer has to say: 'She was very anxious for the first few hours. I could tell she was very on edge and easily startled by noises, so I think her having a quiet environment helped her decompress and ease up a little. After a few hours, she started wagging her tail and coming up to me. Keeping the environment quiet, letting her explore, giving her lots of assurance through petting and affection, and just being patient with her was crucial in her easing up.  She stayed with me in downtown which is of course a busy place. Luckily I am in a cul-de-sac so it was a little more quiet here, so when I would take her on potty walks she would be hyper-aware of all the stimulus (so many people, dogs and cars!). I think this all made her nervous about going potty, she didn't go potty outside until the 5th walk that I took her on which is when she started feeling comfortable.  She did go potty inside a few times and she seems to do it when you are no longer in her vision or are in another room. So I think she might be a little nervous going potty around others. By the next day, she had done like a 180 and woke up with so much energy and excitement. She was playing with her toy, she loves to fetch, and she absolutely loves affection/petting. She is a VERY sweet girl and loves to cuddle -- she fell asleep on me on the couch the first night.    Overall she was wonderful and I have no doubt she will continue to make amazing progress. She did so quickly overnight!   To adopt or foster Annie (ask us about our 2 week foster trials!)
