Lupa is very energetic little girl. She is about 3 years old and is a wired hair terrier mix. She does like bark a lot and needs a lot of space to run around and play. She is not good with other dogs or with other animals in the home.  Lupa can be aggressive with strangers at times. She needs a lot of supervision as she can be destructive to household items and has seperation anxiety as well.  Lupa has trouble with one of her eyes and may require daily cleaning of her eyes.We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Story
Meet the most fabulous tripod! Hello there! My name is Matilda, and I'm a resilient 3-year-old, 14-pound spayed female terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that can't be held back. I may be a tripod, but trust me, I've got more love and zest for life than you can imagine. I had a rough start, found in TJ walking on my hind legs due to unbearable pain in my front legs. Thanks to the care and love of my rescuers, I'm now on the road to recovery. I have a bone fungal infection that requires ongoing medical attention, and I visit the Vet Specialist regularly. Don't worry, it's not contagious, and I'm on top of my medications – Terbinafine ~$15.00 for a month's supply, Voriconazole ~$115.00 for 1 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased. Dasuquin to support joint mobility ~$41.00 for 3 months supply depending on market value and where purchased-- all to keep me happy, healthy, and moving. I am fully bathroom and leash trained. Now, let me tell you a bit about my wonderful personality. I am dog that loves people, and does not love other dogs or cats. I want to be the shining star! I'm what they call a Velcro dog – I'll follow you everywhere, matching your energy whether you're in the mood for play or relaxation. I do have some anxieties, especially around new people and animals, so patience is key. Loud trucks and pushy pets aren't my favorite, and I prefer to have my humans' love all to myself. Despite my initial reservations, once I know you, I'm the ultimate companion, ready to be by your side 24/7. I'm pretty easygoing, enjoying lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, and playing with my toys by myself. I'd thrive in a quiet home with my own space, as an only dog. In essence, I'm a gem of a dog, and I'm looking for a loving family to share my life with. If you're ready for a dog who will shower you with love and bring endless joy into your home, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, you won't regret it! If you work from home, that's even better – I need a potty break every 4ish hours. I'm okay being alone for about 4 hours, either crated or uncrated, but I do like to get my morning zoomies out and play with my stuffed animals. I should be in a home with children 10 years and older only. If you're interested in making me a part of your family, please reach out right away! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ Follow me on IG @tapinwithMatilda ##1765244##

Story
It will be all oh-kai! Hi there! My name is Kai, and I’m a 4-year-old, 43-pound spayed Terrier mix. I was scooped up in Rosario, Mexico, where I was found underweight and living on the streets. I’ve come a long way since then and am ready to find my furever home! I’m a total sweetheart once you’ve earned my trust. I’ll then be your best friend and will be excited every time we see each other! I’m a high-energy gal, and I enjoy being your running buddy on runs through the neighborhood. My other favorite activities include chasing my Chuckit! ball, eating, playing tug-o-war, and sniffing for treats. I’m now fully potty-trained and crate-trained. Leash training is a work in progress, though, since I tend to pull a lot. My biggest challenge, however, is my stranger danger. I tend to become anxious and on high alert once I get outside of my comfort zone. No separation anxiety here, though, especially when I’m left behind with another doggie friend to play with. My ideal household would be a quieter home that had familiar people coming in and out. I’d love a nice backyard to play in, and I’d do just fine as either the only dog or with a well-rounded, confident doggie sibling. No kitties or children, please.  Other than that, a lot of patience and love will help me become my best self! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1143469##

Story
Gigi will be your best girlie! Hello, there! I’m Gigi– a little lady with a big heart, a dash of sass, and a deep love for my people. At 8 years young, I’m the ultimate companion. I’m a cute Cairn terrier (if I don’t say so myself) at a nice medium-sized, 45 pounds. I adore snuggling on the couch, going on sniff-filled strolls, and proudly carrying around my stuffed animals like tiny trophies. I’ve been brought to TAP from San Diego Humane shelter. I’m still settling in and learning what it means to be a carefree pup. I like other dogs, but I can be protective when it comes to sharing my favorite things (can you blame a girl for wanting to keep her treats and toys?). With patient guidance, I know I’ll get there! On leash, I might bark at first, but give me a moment and I’ll happily say hello. I’m potty trained, eager to please, and love being part of a family. The crate? Not my favorite, but I do well with a baby gate instead. I’d love a home where I can be your devoted little shadow—someone who understands that I thrive with a routine, plenty of walks, and lots of love. I’m the pawfect balance of active energy and cute cuddles. Due to my resource guarding, I’d be best as your solo sweetheart or with a mellow, submissive pooch. I’ve already grown so much with my foster fam and know that I will continue to blossom with love and patience. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky girl who’s ready to find her furever, I just might be the perfect fit. Come meet me—I’ll be the one wagging my tail, waiting for you! My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2276552##
