Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rubia is very sweet and calm. She needs a little time to warm up to strangers and while she doesn't love to be carried, she does love to snuggle close during down times and at night. Rubia would love a quiet life with someone who spend a lot of time with her. She always looks very sincere and serious. She is a calm and gentle presence. She also LOVES to go on walks and is an excellent walker. She is also mostly potty trained on a schedule as she does have a medical concern going on that they are working on treating that has contributed to some accidents. Rubia is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Coco is a spirited and affectionate dog eagerly seeking her forever family. Known for her warm and outgoing nature, Coco adores human interaction and forms deep connections with her loved ones. She loves to cuddle all day and play with her toys. She is a perfect companion; she follows her person around and is very obedient to commands. She is very loveable and comedic with her silly zoomies and playful nature. She is also very good with kids and older adults.   She is currently working diligently on kennel training, Coco struggles with slight separation anxiety, often vocalizing when alone, requiring patient guidance and consistent reinforcement. She does well with an enrichment toy in her kennel. At night she does prefer to snuggle up to her person. Her favorite pastime is playing fetch with her beloved ball.  Fueled by her boundless energy and food motivation, training sessions are both enjoyable and productive. Her strong prey drive leads her to chase birds, squirrels, and rabbits, necessitating careful supervision outdoors, and she is not suitable for homes with cats. She walks well in a harness, which reduces her tugging. She sometimes barks at other dogs on walks, usually just to say hi.  She is working on her leash training and making good progress. She lives as the only dog in her current foster home. Coco is potty trained. She loves car rides. She does well on hikes/ long walks. She is very loyal to her person, she loves to always be by your side.  Coco is a delightful, high-energy companion who thrives on human interaction, making her an ideal addition to an active and loving home. Coco is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Despite being skittish and shy at times, he's eager to please and full of playful energy. Miguel gets along wonderfully with adults, other dogs, and even cats. He enjoys playing and running around, but he's just as happy to curl up for a nap. His favorite things include tummy rubs, being talked to, and soaking up all the love he can get. Miguel would thrive in a home with other pets, but he’s also content as the only pet, ready to soak up all the attention. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and goofy little friend, Miguel is your guy! Miguel   is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 08/23/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Milios is a super friendly and loving guy who adores being loved and playing. He's the sweetest, funniest dog you'll meet. He was initially an only dog, but he has adjusted well to having playmates and would thrive either as a solo pet or with other dogs.  He smiles all the time. He bounces when excited or waiting to go outside. Milios loves to run around the backyard with his foster siblings.  Hs is really good at playing with other dogs-he is gentle with them and respects their boundaries.  He loves to chase and retrieve tennis balls. He loves to chew on durable toys. Milios gets incredibly excited every time he sees you!  His whole body wiggles with joy.  He loves laying on his human's lap and following you around the house.  If you are looking for a dog that makes you feel loved and will welcome you home with so much excitement, Milios may be the dog for you! Milios is from Texas.  One big thing you should know is he is heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting him! He has completed his treatment and heartworm is not a contagious disease. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you.     Click here   to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an   adoption application.   An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
