Mercedes is a sweet young girl with a lot of love to give! She is friendly, affectionate, and a curious girl who would love to find a forever home. She's loyal to her family and enjoys playing with her sister and she loves to run and play with toys. She's an all-around great dog and should fit in with most any family. We estimate Mercedes to be a little over a year old, she weighs between 25-30lbs. she has "shorter" legs and is a medium sized dog. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT MERCEDES -- Please COPY and PASTE the following URL for the adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPSL/Dog COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them if adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.

Story
Meet me, Amalia! I am a happy pup who loves cuddle sessions and some play time. My absolute favorite spot to nap is on the couch. I enjoy other dogs, great on rides and pretty good on leash too! My foster mom takes me on lots of adventures to the lake house and to meet humans big and small. Sometimes I am a little shy but doesn't last too long. I am crate trained but would prefer to be in the room with humans at bedtime. If you are interested in me or would like to learn more about me, please complete the app below. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog I am located in San Antonio, TX, but a video meet and greet is available. Transport is included with out of state adoption along with health certificates for transport. I will be fully vetted to age, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Pico will be arriving in Maine on Saturday 29th March.  We are happy to accept and process applications before she arrives. Pico was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas  arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Saturday 29th March. We post our available dogs in states across the east coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes to find perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs, families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet and then hopefully take home. Pico is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, and in March 2025 weighed 9 pounds and has an estimated date of birth of February 2021.    We can not say for sure what the breed is, we expect families to decide looking at any pictures and video's provide and decide if the breed is a good fit for their family. This is what the shelter relayed from his foster family about this sweet boy: Pico is a wonderful 4-year-old, 9-pound ball of love who has been an absolute joy to foster! He’s the perfect balance of affectionate and independent. Pico is great with both dogs and kids, making him an ideal companion for a family of any size. He’s housebroken and has a great energy level—not too laid back, but not overly crazy either. He enjoys his playtime but is equally content just hanging out and getting some belly rubs or lounging in your lap. Pico is also very tolerant when it comes to dress-up, which is a cute bonus! He loves attention and cuddles, but he’s also happy to do his own thing when the mood strikes. If you’re looking for a dog with a sweet, affectionate nature who can also entertain himself independently, Pico would be a perfect fit for you! Pico is available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550, as noted he is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine and families are required to complete and submit an  adoption application and when approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and hopefully take home this sweet boy. Applications are processed with 24 hours of them being received. This is what the shelter relayed from his foster family about this sweet girl: Ann has been an absolute joy while in foster. She is living with several cats and doing great with them. She listens really well and freakishly good for a puppy. She is doing great with potty training and now does all her pooping outside. She does still pee inside but if you catch her, she will stop if you can get her outside. She is almost there! She does the cutest things with her toys - she plays with them all day and then pulls them into her kennel to sleep with them. She pays very close attention, good recall and will be easy to train. Story
Hi everyone, my name is Cookie! I came to Berkshire Humane Society when my owner had too many animals in the home. That said, I`m a well-adjusted little guy and boy, do I have a lot of spunk and sparkle! Not to brag, but kennel staff tell me all the time what a smart little cookie I am and how quickly I pick up on training. I`m incredibly food motivated and love to learn. I am working on my house training here at the shelter, but I was mostly house trained in my previous home, so staff are confident that with someone to provide structure and consistency in my daily life, I`ll pick it up and be fully house trained in no time. Staff noticed that I have a bit of a head wobble and sometimes a little instability in my gait. The veterinarian checked me out and believes that I may have a genetic neurological issue, but outside of monitoring, no medical intervention is necessary. Regardless, I never let anything slow me down! I would do best living in a home environment without shared walls since I can be a vocal boy. For more information about me or how to begin the adoption process, please contact kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126.Dogs: Requires dog introductionCats: NoKids: 13+Weight: 21.5
