Hopper may be the most appropriately named dog you will ever meet - this little guy has pogo sticks for legs! He could probably set some kind of world record for consecutive "hops" in the air. An athletic, playful and entertaining boy who came to us with some learned coping behaviors that we believe stemmed from not having enough lets go! in his life! He was a frustrated firecracker that needed to get out and go go go!! Hop has made great canine friends here! He gets to burn off his little dog terrier energy marching along darting about tracking scents, on solo or group hikes.. in the woods jumping over logs, leaping and yes, hopping... playing chasing games with his buddies in the large grass yards and definitely getting his full share of that wonderful game, enjoyed by humans and canines alike, FETCH!!! Hop is a dog who is his best self having had some enjoyable exercise and fun games. He is smart, active and engaged. He enjoys learning and being praised! If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl! Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly. She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love. Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl. She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods. No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her. As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best. Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people. We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides. She is on the go and ready to love you! When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt. Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world. He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap. We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age. He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things. When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics. They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body. They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your anty so to speak. They can help you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive. We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life. Emma is a beautiful 10 month old black and white Jack Russel mix. After a difficult beginning she is learning to trust people. Emma has now begun her new life in her foster home, getting lots of pets and love. Emma takes a short while to warm up to new people, but then, armed with treats, she will be your BFF. Since she is food motivated, Emma is receptive to training. She is friendly and playful with other dogs, regardless of size, but is not a fan of cats. She is house broken, enjoys the company of other dogs, and tends to learn and gain confidence from them. For this reason her forever home should be one with a canine companion. Emma will do well in a calm home in a quiet environment, ideally with a fenced in yard. She is fine with kids once she knows them, as long as they are respectful.
