Story
Loki is a special boy who suffers from anxiety. He is fearful of loud noises and new things. Loki is looking for a calm environment where he can be the only dog. He loves to play with his toys and enjoys playing outside. He is house and crate trained. He would do best with older children. He likes to go for walks, but does get nervous when he sees other dogs. Loki is looking for his special place where someone can love him and give him a chance. Loki is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Story
Hi there! I’m Hiccup, an 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart as big as my body is small. Despite a detour in his journey that led him to seek a new forever home, Hiccup's spirit remains as lively as ever. While he may take a little time to warm up to new faces, he'll be your most loyal companion once he does. Hiccup is an ideal match for households with other dogs, as he is friendly with all dogs he has met. His manners extend to potty time, whether it's indoors on paper or outside. He is fully potty trained. Hiccup's medium activity level means he's not always the most energetic pup on the block, but he'll be glad to join you for a relaxing afternoon at home. Hiccup prefers the freedom of not being confined to a crate but has proven himself to be a model citizen when left alone in the house. With his gentle nature and laid-back demeanor, Hiccup would thrive in a loving home where he can be given the time and space to adjust at his own pace. Lastly, Hiccup has a heart murmur and dilated cardiomyopathy with pulmonary edema. He will require lifelong medication for his condition. If you're searching for a loyal companion who's as sweet as he is spunky, look no further than Hiccup. He's ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving forever home that will cherish him for the wonderful dog that he is. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Hiccup is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 26, 2025, 8:42 pm

Story
When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt.  Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world.  He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap.  We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age.   He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things.   When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics.  They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body.  They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your anty so to speak.  They can help  you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive.   We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life.  If you are interested in Clyde the Slyde… please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live and a little more about yourself and why a JRT like Clyde is right up your alley!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 14, 2025, 8:28 pm

Story
We have had Zoe for nearly 6 years and got her as a small puppy. We had our first baby 3 years ago and had our second last November; very unfortunately, she has not been able to adjust to life with kids in the house. We have had a few instances of nipping/biting, and we have concerns about her being around our kids and other kids. She is an otherwise incredibly sweet mutt (we think JRT and chihuahua). She loves us and does okay at home with just our family of 4, but we cannot have anyone over to our house including family that she knows well. She is potty trained and is off leash trained with an E collar (we sent her for a 2 week board and train program as a puppy). She has no medical needs/issues. We think she would probably do best with an adult who just wants some company. She loves having someone at home to cuddle with and doesn’t need much exercise. She’s adopted a love for burrowing under blankets from our older dachshund. She loves other dogs. She is crate trained.

Story
Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! If you think this sweet boy would be a great fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org ##1744393##
