Story
Mila is a 2 year old terrier/hound mix (likely JRT & Beagle) weighing approx 27 lbs. She loves her humans very much and is very playful and affectionate with them. Mila did not start her life off in a bad way but she did miss out on training, boundaries and socialization. For this reason, Mila has spent time with a professional trainer who has fallen in love with her. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of dogs a person can have! She loves the outdoors and play time! She’s a very active girl and would do great with a dominant larger dog, she can be too rambunctious for a small dog. Mila is an excellent girl at home when you have to go out, just make sure you have the perfect window for her to neighborhood watch from! She is obviously a high energy girl but likes nothing more than to be tucked in beside her person on the couch!! She gives great hugs and kisses!! Mila will require an experienced owner and home without children under the age of 7. She loves kids but is still learning boundaries. Her adopter will be able to take advantage of some professional advise from her trainer in order to keep Mila improving. Training consistency will be key to keeping Mila on track with her progression. Mila is currently being fostered in Newmarket, ON. If you are interested in adopting Mila, please complete an application on our website: https://www.jrnc.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Rina, the sweet and gentle Terrier mix with a heart full of love! At 10 months old and weighing 5.5kg, this dainty girl is ready to find a forever home where she can truly blossom. Rina was rescued from a high kill shelter, but you’d never guess her tough start by her kind and affectionate personality. Rina is a natural sweetheart who loves people, both familiar faces and strangers alike. She’s happy to receive gentle pets and will even roll over to show her belly once she’s comfortable. Though she’s friendly, Rina has a quiet, sensitive side—large crowds or noisy environments can make her feel a little nervous. She’s polite around children, showing little interest, and can be comfortably handled, even being picked up or touched all over. With other dogs, Rina’s sweet nature shines through. She greets both familiar and new dogs with friendly curiosity, especially those around her own size. If another dog tries to pick a fight, Rina would rather walk away than engage. She’s not overly dependent on canine companions but enjoys playing when the opportunity arises. When left alone, she can keep herself entertained but does appreciate having a friend nearby. Rina shows no interest in chasing cats during walks, making her a great candidate for homes with feline family members. Her energy level is on the lower side, preferring cozy naps and peaceful downtime over high-energy play. Walks are enjoyable but short and sweet—Rina is happiest when heading back home for snuggles. This little lady is as gentle as they come, showing no signs of resource guarding or aggression. She’s nearly silent, rarely barking, and is fully comfortable sharing her food with both people and dogs. Rina is house-trained for both indoor pads and outdoor potty and rides quietly in a kennel, although she may experience a little car sickness on longer trips. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s happiest by your side, Rina could be the perfect match. With her tender heart and peaceful spirit, she’s ready to fill her forever home with warmth, snuggles, and unwavering loyalty. Story
Cami is a male Jack Russell Terrier mix, estimated to be around one year old, with a small build weighing 5 kg. Although he has a painful past of being rescued just before euthanasia at a shelter, Cami is a bright and affectionate dog with a loving personality. He adores people and is friendly with everyone without hesitation. He is gentle with smaller dogs and gets along well with larger ones, showing excellent social skills. Most importantly, Cami longs for love and needs an environment where someone is always by his side. Since he may become anxious when left alone for long periods, a household where at least one family member stays home would be ideal. With an energetic personality, Cami enjoys jumping and playing with toys, requiring opportunities to release his energy. A home with a yard or frequent visits to a dog park would be perfect for him. As he lacks experience living in a home, he may chew on household items, but with enough toys and proper playtime, he can develop positive habits. His overall health is good, though he has a dental misalignment. However, this does not affect his ability to chew and instead adds to his unique charm. Cami is waiting for a loving family to welcome him. Please help him start a new life in a warm and caring home!

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Mongshell Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Beige Weight: 9kg My Story Hi, I’m Mongshell, a sweet and playful 1-year-old Terrier mix with a soft beige coat. I weigh 9kg and have a heart full of love to share. My journey began in a difficult situation—I was rescued from a mountain beekeeping farm where I had been tied up and abandoned. Despite my rough start, I’ve grown into a lively and affectionate pup, ready to find my forever family. My Personality I’m a gentle soul with a touch of shyness when meeting new people. I adore toys—chewing and chasing them brings me so much joy! I also have a quirky love for shoes and slippers, so my future family might want to keep those safely tucked away. I’m happiest when I’m playing, exploring, or snuggling with my loved ones. Social SkillsWith people, I’m initially cautious, but with other dogs, I’m a peace-loving pup who gets along well with friends of all sizes. I enjoy meeting new furry pals and often look to them for guidance in unfamiliar situations. If another dog gets upset, I’ll politely walk away to avoid conflict. As for cats, I haven’t had much experience with them yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. Energy and ActivitiesI’m an energetic pup who loves outdoor adventures and playtime with other dogs. After a day of running around, I settle down nicely at home and enjoy some quiet time. While I’m curious and love exploring, I feel nervous around busy streets or loud noises, so I prefer quieter walking routes. Training and HabitsI’m smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn. I’m fully outdoor potty-trained and try my best to communicate my needs. I’m crate-trained and stay calm and relaxed in my kennel. While I rarely bark, I might let out a few barks when meeting someone new, but I settle down quickly once reassured. My Ideal HomeI’m searching for a family that will embrace my playful, energetic nature and understand my slightly shy side. I’d thrive in a home where I can play with other dogs or receive plenty of love and attention from my humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share walks, playtime, and cuddles, I could be the perfect addition to your family. Special NotesI absolutely adore toys, especially ones I can chew or chase.I have a playful obsession with shoes and slippers—be prepared to keep them safe!I’m peaceful and avoid conflict with other dogs. With love, patience, and tasty treats, I’ll flourish as your loyal and loving companion. ##2288087##

Quick Facts Name: Zeus Birthday: 8 months (Born May 22, 2024) Gender: Male Neutered: Scheduled for February 12, 2025 Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Black & Brown Weight: 7kg All About Me Hi there! My name is Zeus, and I’m an energetic and lovable pup with a heart as big as my name. At 8 months old, I’m still a puppy, which means I’m full of curiosity, playfulness, and a love for life. I’m always ready to learn, explore, and make new friends—whether they’re people or other dogs! My Personality I may be the biggest among my siblings, but I’m also the most gentle and thoughtful one. I love to observe, take everything in, and quickly understand what’s expected of me. I’m a loyal and affectionate pup, and once I trust you, I’ll follow you anywhere! I enjoy being around people and have a naturally friendly nature. Whether it’s someone I’ve known forever or someone I’m meeting for the first time, I’m happy to say hello and soak up some affection. I’m also great with other dogs—I love meeting new friends and inviting them to play! Even though I have plenty of puppy energy, I have a calm and balanced personality compared to my siblings. I’m playful, but I don’t act impulsively—I like to think before I leap! On My Walks I’m still getting used to the big world outside, and sometimes new places make me pause for a moment. But once I know I’m safe, I trust my human to guide me and happily follow along. I’m currently learning to walk on a leash and getting more confident every day! Life at Home I’m already doing great with potty training—I can use both indoor pee pads and go outside when needed. I also don’t mind sharing my food with people but other dogs, I am little bit more protective. I rarely bark as well. My Ideal Home I would love a family that will help me continue learning and growing with patience and encouragement. Here’s what I’m hoping for: - A Loving & Supportive Home: I thrive when I feel safe and connected to my people.- Outdoor Adventures: I enjoy walks and playtime to keep my body and mind engaged.- Gentle Training & Guidance: I’m eager to learn and love making my humans proud. Last Message I’m a sweet, smart, and loyal pup who is ready to find my forever family. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion with a big heart, I’d love to meet you! ##2301039##

I’m Thor, a playful, affectionate pup with an endless supply of energy and love. At just 8 months old, I’m still a puppy, which means every day is an adventure waiting to happen! I’m curious, eager to explore, and always ready to make new friends—whether they’re humans or fellow pups. My Personality If you’re looking for a dog who brings joy, excitement, and non-stop fun into your life, I might just be the one for you! I’m a bundle of energy, always on the move, always ready to play. When I was born, I was the biggest and sturdiest of my siblings, but as I grew, I became the most spirited and lively of the bunch. I absolutely adore people—whether I’ve known you for years or just met you, I’ll be the first to run up for pets and cuddles. I don’t hesitate to show affection, and I might even give you a little nuzzle or hop up on my hind legs just to say, “Hey, I love you!” When it comes to other dogs, I’m friendly and social, but I tend to prefer human companionship the most. I love playing with my people, following them around, and soaking up all the attention I can get. On My Walks I’m still learning about the world, and sometimes new things can make me pause for a moment. But once I get comfortable, I’m eager to explore! Here’s what I hope for: A Fun & Loving Home: I thrive in an environment where I can be active and loved. A Playful Family: I’d love someone who enjoys playtime, training, and adventures. Story
Quick Facts Name: Maison Age: 5 years old Gender: Female Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Russell Terrier Mix  Color: White & Brown & Black Weight: 13kg All About Me Hi, I’m Maison! I’m a five-year-old Russell Terrier mix, weighing 13kg. I was rescued from a shelter where I was at risk of euthanasia, but now I have a second chance at finding a loving home. I’m a friendly, affectionate dog with a big heart and a playful spirit, and I can’t wait to meet my forever family! My Personality I love people! Whether you’re someone I know or a total stranger, I’ll come right up to you, lean in for pets, and happily soak up all the attention. I enjoy being picked up, cuddled, and scratched—honestly, the more love, the better! My ability to bond with humans is one of my best qualities. I always make eye contact, and if you look at me, I’ll wag my tail as if I’ve been waiting just for you. How I Get Along with Other Dogs I enjoy meeting and greeting new dog friends and will often invite them to play. I don’t mind sharing space with other dogs, though I once had a brief standoff over treats—but don’t worry, it didn’t last long, and we made up right away! If you already have another dog with a similar energy level, I’d probably love having a sibling to play with. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react to them. My Energy Level I have a balanced energy level. I love outdoor activities and playing, but I also know how to settle down and relax. Sometimes, I start off a little excited, but I calm down quickly. I enjoy walks, though I might pull on the leash a bit at first—I just get excited to explore! My Good Habits I don’t guard my food from people, but I may give a little grumble if another dog gets too close while I’m eating. Other than that, I’m easygoing and well-mannered. I rarely bark, so I won’t be a noisy housemate. I’m also comfortable in a kennel when needed. When it comes to potty time, I’m flexible—I can use indoor pee pads or go outside. Whatever works best for my new home, I’m happy to adapt! What I’m Looking for in a Home I would love to be part of a family that enjoys spending time together, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or just relaxing at home. If you already have another dog with a similar energy level, I’d be happy to have a playmate. But if I’m your only dog, that’s okay too—I’ll be more than happy getting all the attention from you! Special Message I have the strong, muscular build of a true terrier, and while I can be full of energy, I settle down quickly. My biggest joy is being with people—I love affection, eye contact, and just being part of a family. If you’re looking for a loving, social, and well-mannered companion, I might be the perfect dog for you. I can’t wait to find my forever home! ##2307378##

Quick Facts Name: Robin Age: 4 years old approximate  Gender: Female  Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix (estimated)  Color: Soft Black  Weight: 6.4kg  Rescue Story Rescued from a difficult past, now ready for a loving home Meet Robin: A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold! Hello! I’m Robin, a sweet and gentle girl with a soft heart and a quiet charm. My journey started in a tough place, but I’ve come a long way, and now I’m looking for a family who will cherish me. I may take a little time to open up, but once I do, you’ll see just how loving and loyal I can be! My Personality I have a calm and gentle nature, and I love being around kind people. It may take me a moment to warm up, but once I trust you, I’ll be right by your side. I’m polite, easygoing, and love peaceful moments just as much as outdoor adventures. And while I’m still learning to enjoy being held, I know with patience and love, I’ll get there in no time! My Social Life •   With People: I may be a little shy at first, but with a tasty treat and a kind approach, I warm up quickly. I’m especially gentle with young children! •   With Other Dogs: I enjoy meeting other dogs and say hello politely, though I prefer calmer friends over very high-energy ones. •   With Cats: When I see a cat on a walk, I stay focused on my person and don’t pay much attention to them.  On My Walks I love a good walk! I have great leash manners and enjoy exploring at a steady pace. I do best in quieter areas and feel most comfortable away from heavy traffic or loud noises. Life at HomeI have wonderful house manners and am happy to do my business outside or on a pee pad. I rarely bark, love a cozy kennel for resting, and appreciate a peaceful environment. While I don’t guard my food from people, I do prefer to enjoy my meals without other dogs too close. My Ideal Home •   Affectionate: I’m looking for a family who will cherish me and include me in their daily life. •   Patient & Gentle: Someone who understands that I may need a little time to adjust, but once I do, I’ll be a deeply loyal companion. •   Calm & Comforting: I’d thrive in a home that offers a peaceful, loving environment where I can feel safe and secure. Could I be the perfect match for you? I can’t wait to start our journey together! ##2308833##

PLEASE READ JIMBO’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: HE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE MONTREAL AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Jimbo Age: 4 years Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: 20 lbs Location: MONTREAL, QC Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Requires eye drops 2 x a day Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Jimbo was found in a dilapitated trailer in the Ottawa area. Living there were 6 dogs alone. Jimbo and another dog had severe cherry eye and we provided the proper surgery and vetting so their pain could be relieved. Jimbo is the sweetest most gentle 20lb terrier mix that loves everyone he meets, people, dogs, cats, he doesn’t discriminate. This gentle little “floof” with the eternally messy, but very soft hair-do, contrary to its appearance in pictures, loves to snuggle and sleep on his back and has a penchant for snoring. He is always down for a game of tug-o-war and loves dog to dog attention. He loves to run and play and loves life as a whole. Jimbo enjoys spending time outside in the sun, fresh air and snow, as well as going for walkies. He walks well on a leash but can use a little refinement. He has zero prey drive and he does not shed. Can you say perfect? He is an easy going well rounded dog that would do well in an quiet or active home but not loud, he can can be overwhelmed by noises. Jimbo has had surgery to fix a severe case of cherry eye and as a result will need eyes drops in both eyes (minimum 2x’s a day) everyday for the rest of his life. However he is such a good boy that he willingly lets you administer the drops so it is always quick and simple task. We will provide 6 months worth of drops for the adopter. His ideal home would be one with a fenced in yard that is secure, since he can be fearful of noises outside and may be a flight risk during these times. No apartments or condos since he does bark at the window. A companion dog would be ideal company for him because he loves to play, cuddle and share beds. Cats are no issue for him and children 6+ ideal. At night he sleeps in a crate without protest but would probably just as easily take to sleeping in a human’s bed. Jimbo is an absolute sweetheart, he does however need additional training on the basics and recall but even as is, he is just so polite and gentle, he is a true gem this little man. If you feel you would be the right fit for Jimbo, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
