Story
Meet Waylon, the sweet and playful 1-year-old pup who is ready to steal your heart! This 24 lb bundle of joy is of unknown breed, but may be a Beagle mix. Waylon is house trained, great on a leash, and even knows how to sit on command – a smart and obedient companion indeed! Waylon gets along well with cats and other dogs. While he hasn't been around kids much, with his gentle demeanor and loving personality, he is likely to do great with children too. Waylon enjoys cuddling up for some quality time and is always up for playing or running around the yard.  Waylon is still working on crate training, but he’s already getting better. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate furry friend to bring joy and laughter into your home, Waylon is the perfect match for you. Waylon is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.  Waylon is available for adoption on or after June 16, 2024. Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144. KL#16182 ##2071082##

Hello! I am Moana! I was a stray, wild right? But with my spunky attitude, bubbly personality, I felt like I needed an adventure, so off I went into the great unknown to find a family to be all mine! I am friendly and fun, energetic, and goofy. I would love to meet you and see if we are meant to be, come in today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He listens well and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when he wants attention and more training is needed. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). It would be best if applicants have dog experience and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Buddy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area. Pontus is an awfully big name for a pup like me to have :) I mean, the kingdom of Turkey?? I am just a little bit immature for that kind of responsibility! However, I can handle the cute face and puppy eyes to get you to adopt me!!! :) Seriously! So I am a terrier mixed boy, about 25# right now and likely about 30 to 40 # full grown. I am smart, I am happy and very loving! I love other dogs and will play all the time! I love kids and all big people too! i am just too cute to have to explain anything else about me, ADOPT.....DON'T SHOP!!! OUR LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!! Story
We rescued Sako and his brother when they were a little less than a year old. He weighs about 30 lbs and believe him to be around 9 years old now. He is a great dog and loves to snuggle! He’s good with other dogs and cats. The only reason we are re-homing him is because our daughter just turned 1, and now that’s she’s mobile, he has had a few encounters with her that make us uncomfortable having him around her. Him and his brother Ruger are pretty attached to each other, and ideally would like to keep them together, but it’s more urgent that we find him a new home because it’s not fair to him to have to keep him separated and not get the attention he deserves. He is nervous around some men at first, but quickly does warm up. This was not an easy decision to make, but we want to do what’s best for him and our daughter and would love to find him a loving, caring home that will be able to give him all the attention and snuggles he can dream of!

Story
Hi, I am Courtney! I was found as a stray in horrible condition. I have worked so hard to get healthy. I am told it is my turn to find a forever home that will love me. I really love people and dogs are ok, but cats are an unknown. What my foster momma says about me:  If you want to have a hiking dog, Courtney is not your girl. She is very chill and prefers to go outside do her business and come back into the house for a life of leisure. She is crate trained and appears to be potty trained. Her skin still can use a little bit of nursing but she is ready for her fur-ever home. What I love about this girl is she will greet you with a little bark and loooong howl which is so endearing to me.  If you put an application in, I am happy to send you a video of this sweet howl that greets me every time. She is a snuggle bug and a very happy go lucky girl. If you want a couch potato for movie nights, she is your girl! I also believe she is a pit/bull dog mix. My opinion as her foster - but don't quote me on it becuase other than sweetness overload, this is the only actual information I am 100% sure of! ##2074554##
