Story
Buddy is a sweet loving dog who loves to cuddle, run around, and be outdoors. We found him in a box on the side of the road amongst his brothers and sister infested with fleas and ticks. Buddy is currently 5 years old and still young!! We are looking for someone who loves animals and can give him the attention we can’t. Being in a small apartment with a new baby has made it very difficult to love him the way that he deserves. We hope that his new family will have an open yard for him to run around and cuddle once play time is all over. Buddy adjusts well to routines. He listens to commands and is very disciplined when it comes to waiting for his food or waiting to exit and enter the home before and after walks. If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving pup who will always have your back, Buddy is waiting to meet you!

Story
**Courtesy Post** Spot is a 6-7 year old little guy. He is very friendly and loving. He’s house trained and great in the house. He’s just as sweet as he can be. We want him to have a securely fenced yard. And, he definitely needs to be an inside dog. Spot requires a home with no cats or kiddos. There is a small rehoming fee. If you are interested you will need to fill out an adoption application. Please contact Spot’s owner at mariejoanna770@gmail.com and they will email you an application.

Story
Hallie is a 2 year old playful and loving female Jack Russell Terrier. She will be happiest as an only dog. She does get along with others and loves to play, but she has a tendency to become a little jealous and dominant. She’s a kind and very, very loving girl. She’s crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. She’s honestly just a perfect little dog. All her vet work has been done and she is very very healthy. She weighs about 25 pounds. Like all Jack Russells she loves her yard and snoops around out there on and off during the day. Her adopter needs to be able to drive to the Houston, Texas area to adopt her. Her adoption fee is $325. Contact: jamesejolley@gmail.com The first step in adopting is to complete the adoption application at www.RussellRescue.com

Story
After working with our vet for 18 months, we have not been able to re-train Daisy to stop attacking smaller dogs. She has been our house dog and super sweet girl for 5 1/2 years. She has never bitten anyone, just smaller dogs (she is a bully). She has severely injured our chihuahua mix on 4 separate occasions and we can no longer keep her. Our vet suggested re-homing asap. She has transferrable pet insurance, updated on all shots, Heartguard and Nexguard given monthly, well groomed. No health issues. Requires a fence or be on a leash. Crate trained and fully house trained as well.

Story
Meet Sunshine, a young, energetic furball who`s eager to play and explore. His curious nature means he`s always up for an adventure, whether it`s a new toy or a hidden corner of the yard. He likes agility, car rides, running, tugging, toys, water, wrestling, and chase. He weighs 27 pounds and is still perfecting his leash walking skills but he is already house trained. Sunshine is smart and independent, able to entertain himself yet always ready for a cuddle session. He knows the sit, stay, come, and down commands. Despite his independence, he`s incredibly friendly and affectionate, always ready to give and receive love. He`s a bit afraid of baths and grooming, but with a gentle touch and lots of patience, he can overcome anything. His excitable nature means he`s always ready for fun, and his love for belly rubs and treats is unparalleled. He`s friendly and playful but a bit rough and jumpy around children, but with some training and patience, he can learn to adjust. For now, he`ll need to live with kids at least 15 years old. Sunshine has a penchant for chewing and digging, and he tends to bark at other dogs. He demonstrated in a foster home that he is friendly, playful, and rough with other pooches and likes dogs as active as he is. He is respectful around cats and prefers to ignore them. Adopt Sunshine, and you`ll have a loyal, loving, and playful companion who will brighten up your life with his cheerful and affectionate personality. (tw 1/6/2025)Click `Play` to meet Sunshine. This animal has been available at the shelter for more than 30 days and is now considered a VIP. The adoption fee is 50% off! -jc (1/22/25)
