Story
Are you looking for an agility dog, a flyball dog, or a jogging buddy? Buddy is your boy. Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires a lot of exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He is smart, listens well, and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when excited or wants attention, and needs more training. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). He is NOT a fence climber. It would be best if applicants are experienced with the breed and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. His adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Vancouver WA. Story
Meet Oddie, the Sweet and Adventurous Terrier Mix! Are you looking for a loving and playful companion to brighten your days? Look no further than Oddie, a young male Terrier mixed breed with a heart full of love and a spirit bursting with adventure! Oddie is a bundle of joy who loves to explore the world around him. Whether it's a walk in the park, a hike in the woods, or a game of fetch in the backyard, Oddie is always up for an adventure. His playful nature and sweet disposition make him a perfect companion for individuals or families who enjoy an active lifestyle. While Oddie is a delightful and loving dog, he may need some training to help him become the best version of himself. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping Oddie learn new commands and good manners. What to Expect When Adopting a Dog: Commitment: Adopting a dog is a long-term commitment. Dogs like Oddie can live for 10-15 years or more, so be prepared for a lifelong companionship. Time and Attention: Dogs need daily exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction. Make sure you have enough time to dedicate to Oddie's needs. Training: Basic training is essential for a well-behaved dog. Enroll in obedience classes or use online resources to teach Oddie commands and good behavior. Healthcare: Regular vet check-ups, vaccinations, and preventative care (like flea and tick prevention) are important to keep Oddie healthy. Grooming: Depending on his coat, Oddie may require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. Love and Patience: Building a bond with your new dog takes time. Be patient and generous with your love and affection. Adopting Oddie means gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy, laughter, and adventure into your life. Story
Hello I’m currently looking for a new home for Rocky! He’s a Jack Russell Border Collie Mix. I’ve had him for 10 years a few months now. He’s originally from Jacksonville, FL which is where I’m from and where I got him from! I got him when he was just a few weeks old in the summer of 2014. I’m looking for a new home for him because due to myself getting another job to afford my rent I simply wouldn’t be around for this guy to take care of him. I’ve also been experiencing some behavior issues with him going through my garbage which has been quite a problem for me. Especially with me coming home late from work I’m sometimes too tired to walk him and I don’t want to neglect him. Just looking for a good home for him to go to please.
