Story
Meet DUKE DOB: 04/13/2019 Weight: 25lbs Adoption fee: $350 *(Adoption fee includes the neuter/spay surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Duke is an energetic boy that loves to run and play and be adventurous. He's a go-getter that will never turn down a walk or playdate. Duke doesn't know that he was saved from euthanasia after another overfull shelter could not support his Addison's disease. Addison's disease is a rare disorder that occurs when the adrenal glands can't produce the hormones cortisol and aldosterone. Sunny Sky's knew, that despite his rare condition, Duke can live a normal life with proper treatment and monitoring that requires a daily oral steroid and a monthly injection. Duke is worthy of a loving family and we hope you apply to meet him soon. Our adoption process and application can be found at: https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process For other questions on our dogs/cats please send an email to info@sunnyskysshelter.org for information on a meet and greet as well as application procedures.

Story
Bandit is an 11 year old Jack Terrier. I will be moving to Spain in June and unfortunately can not take him with me. Bandit is an extremely lovable dog, who enjoys playing with our other two dogs, sitting next to me, and being petted. He is well behaved, loves people, is housebroken, but does not like being in a crate. Bandit does wear a body band in the house because one of our other dogs is female, and he keeps wanting to mark his territory. When Bandit was an only pet, he did not behave this way, nor did he when he lived with another male dog. Medically Bandit is healthy. He does have allergies but gets a shot every six months to control it. He is due for shots in February, and does have a dental issue. I will take care of both of these issues. Loud bangs and noises frighten him, especially fireworks. Bandit also did well with a dog door. With in a day I was able to train him to use it. He also needs to have a fenced yard to play in and do his business.

Story
Meet Winston, our spirited and independent 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a personality all his own! Winston is playful and spirited, especially when it comes to playing fetch—he's always ready for a game and keeps the fun going with his boundless energy! But Winston has a bit of a “cat” side to him too; he knows exactly what he wants and when he wants it. He’ll gladly let you know when he’s ready for some affection, but he’s just as happy having his own space when he’s done. Winston would thrive in a home with no young children (over 12 is best), where he can be the center of attention. He’s looking for an experienced adopter who appreciates his balance of independence and playfulness and understands his need for space and respect. Due to the stress of the shelter environment, Winston is currently on anxiety medication, but this little guy may not need it once he finds his cozy forever home. With the right match, Winston is sure to bring love, loyalty, and just the right amount of sass! Are you the experienced, caring adopter who can offer Winston the forever home he deserves?
