My Story
Hi, I’m Sylvie! I’m an energetic and curious 1.5-year-old Jindo-Corgi mix with a striking brown coat. I weigh 12kg, stand at 32cm tall, and I’m ready to find my forever family. My story began when I was rescued from an imminent euthanasia situation at a shelter in Gwangju, South Korea. Since then, I’ve been learning how wonderful life can be when surrounded by love and care.
My Personality
I’m a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly if you have a treat in hand! Once we become friends, I’m all yours—I’ll even roll over to show you my belly. While I’m generally friendly and curious, sudden loud noises, like a baby crying or strangers in dark clothing, make me feel a bit uneasy at first. That said, I quickly relax when reassured by my human. I also love toys and enjoy playtime, but my energy level is moderate, so I know how to balance fun and rest.
Social Skills
With people: I enjoy being around people and form bonds easily. I’m okay with being picked up and carried once I feel comfortable. At my foster home, I adjusted to household noises and routines within hours. I don’t bark much, except to alert you when unfamiliar visitors arrive, but I calm down once you let me know it’s safe. With other dogs: I’m happy to meet and greet other dogs and get along well with friendly pups. I can get a little jealous sometimes, so a home with the right canine companion—or as the only dog—would suit me best. With cats and small animals: I get overly excited when I see cats during walks and try to chase them, so a cat-free home would be ideal.
Energy & Activities
I love outdoor adventures, and while I might tug on the leash a little out of excitement, I listen well and follow your lead. I’m a quick learner and enjoy exploring the world around me. After a nice walk or play session, I settle down easily and enjoy relaxing in my space. I’m also quite smart—I once found my way back to my foster home when I accidentally slipped off-leash during a walk!
Potty Habits and Training
I’m fully outdoor potty-trained, so I prefer to do my business during regular walks. At home, I’ve shown no signs of separation anxiety and quietly wait for my humans to return. I’m also crate-trained and settle down calmly when it’s time to rest.
My Ideal Family
I’m looking for a loving family who will appreciate my sweet, gentle personality and provide me with the structure I need to feel safe. A household with older children or adults would suit me best, as I’m not too comfortable around sudden, unpredictable movements. If you’re patient and understanding, I’ll reward you with loyalty, affection, and endless charm.
